What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

Hey all- I just came home with a 2019 Ranger Lariat.

at the dealership I felt great like it was a good deal but then looking at TrueCar the value of ($28K) the Ranger is $8K less than what I owe ($36K) but yet the dealer discounted $5K under the MSRP of $45K and my $4K down. Does that sound like it’s a good deal? And is it normal that the value of the Ranger on TrueCar and KBB is much less than what I owe? Thanks in advance.

Was the MSRP of 45K the factory window sticker or a "Phoeny Monreony" dealers love to tack on all their vastly inflated equipment/packages onto?

The $45K was the factory window sticker. My walking out the door price was $36K, which included my $4K deposit. The taxes in VA and fees were quite a bit. It was my first time by myself, I usually had a family member (once before) to do all the ‘talking’ when I was younger. So I probably was an ideal target, I feel like I did all my research ahead of time and felt like it was good deal at the time but then afterwards I was like ‘what just happened?’. I love the Ranger, it looks so good, I just stare at it in a parking lot when walking to/from shopping

Yea we went to look a a saber 302a but when I saw the race red With the black package tech pkg bed liner I totally didn’t see it did not have the tow package my wife noticed it when we got home. Oh well hidden hitch here I come I paid 2k back of invoice. It was 38k. enjoy you ranger.

Just came home today with a left over 2019 lariat 501A. 44,830 msrp, down to 35,822 and a linex bed liner. I think i did ok.

I think you did great, my local dealer had a row of rangers pre-covid and now they have one on the lot, so the shortage is evident, you did well given the timing, congrats and enjoy.

Thats about the average around here lately for discount/rebate, and its a hard pill to swallow for some, but I think we are months out from inventory being what it was pre-covid, so I feel your pain. Look at your surrounding states, do your due diligence in research and especially phone calls, nobody wants to use a phone anymore, some of the best deals I have ever pinned down were dealers that had crappy web sites but could work a deal over the phone, good luck !

I just ordered a simliar but not exact configuration. Sticker was $$44,476.50. Got down to
$41,078.51 with X-plan. I too was hoping to get down to $38k-ish. Jake596 is spot on though. It is totally an inventory issue.

But, if your OTD price includes tax, title, and doc fees I'd say you did alright.
