As has been stated several times on the forum, for a 2019, you really should be looking at 8-10k off sticker at this point. You are purchasing a vehicle that is coming up on 2 model years old now (in the fall it will be 2 model years old), so depreciation has to be factored in. Don't know what the sticker is on that truck, but that still sounds awfully high to me, even with the 0% for 84 months.
I agree. The dealer is still making payments on that truck, too. If he wants the cashflow, he'll drop the price to what you want to pay. Tell him what you are willing to pay and wait him out.

Hi! New member here, just want to see if you guys got a better deal on 2019 model, my local dealer wont budge on $37,800 drive out with 0 apr 84 month term on XLT FX4 with tech package. My goal is to get it close to 35k drive out
Yeah I was also told they're firm on MSRP with the 0 for 84, which is ridiculous for an almost 2 year old truck and a new gen coming out this fall.

I’ve been shopping rangers also and I have found out that there is about$3 - $5k worth of money on the table if you don’t take the 0 for 84 months. I’d recommend you supply your own financing. I’m in the Maryland area if it matters and still looking. :)

Dealer is holding firm at $39k and 0% interest after discounts on a $44,470 Lariet FX4 Sport (2020). 0% interest seems to be worth $3k over 5yrs based on my loan calcs.
Just verbally finalized agreement this afternoon... $35,950 after rebates/discounts/tradein on 15yr old no longer driven sedan. Impression that Ford is watching its credit lines and pushing customers hard towards all cash deals. You'd be silly to take the 0% and even the sales staff were confused about it. After California sales taxes and fees, out of door price is $39,850.

We had to agree to 3.1% interest on 72 month loan through Ford Credit, which is much higher than we can get elsewhere...but we will either refinance it or payoff quickly in cash to minimize interest charges.

Still deciding on if I want the extended warranty and maintenance plans.

Buying experience was much more annoying than it needed to be. But, I did get my goal of more than 8k off a 2020 Ranger.

Signing paperwork tomorrow and they are delivering car to our home so that we don't need to be at the dealership.

My ideal truck would be
Crew, xlt, 4x4, 301a Package
By some of the prices i have seen on forum and in person, I think 28k-33k is not unreasonable, but it’s going to depend on what other options dealer has tacked on also. I like you am a very particular buyer and don’t want all those extra options.

Also new to the forum here. Debating on doing a deal on a 2019 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4. Sticker is $45,135. We are stalemated at 36,348. I had another dealer down to 36,288 on a truck that had a sticker of 44,235. I feel like this must be about the lowest they can go at the moment. I tried to wait out the other deal and they sold the truck!

Also, unrelated to price, but I will be towing a 17 foot camper with this truck. Does anyone have experience good or bad with the wireless electric brake controllers such as the Curt Echo? I am required to have an brake controller in Colorado and do not really want to install one of those clunky manual ones in this brand new truck. Just wondering how something like that would do in the mountains when changing the braking is sometimes quite necessary.

Hi Brian,

Will not comment on price.... WRT trailer, what is the GCW of the combination of your fully loaded trailer and vehicle. This is the metric along with the tongue weight and the trailer tow capacity of the vehicle will determine if the Ranger is suitable for your requirements. This has nothing to do with the length of the trailer. Your salesman will likely be of little help in determining this.

As far as a brake controller, use the search function. There are a few threads that will help you. Curt wireless has mixed reviews. The Ford offering based on Redarc controller seems to work very well but requires some installation...not plug and play...

Good Luck with your decision.

Thanks for your response Phil. The dry weight of the camper is 3,217 payload is 508 for a total GVWR of 3,725. The tongue weight of the trailer per manufacturer website is 410 pounds. The vehicle weight going by Ford specs is 4,441. I would assume 4 humans at a very high average of 200 pounds plus 300 pounds of gear for a total of 1100 pounds. So seems like total of everything related to the truck is 5,541.

Thanks also for your insight on the brake controller. I do not really want to install something in the truck, but obviously traveling in the mountains of the Centennial State is much different than many other places in this great country of ours.

Last March was still early in the 2019 model year, so some of the comments about pricing for 2019 Rangers now didn't apply then. From what I can see, you got a reasonbly good deal (~$3500 under Invoice) and you didn't pay any exhorbitant dealer fees. I would have been happy with the deal. Right now, they are coming up on 2 model years old, and you have to figure in depreciation. Last March that wasn't true.

Those are my thoughts.

In my opinion thats a good deal overall, thats about the same amount I got off my MSRP, if your flirting with 10k off the sticker I think your doin alright.
