Thank you for this tip ! I googled and found also a video on YouTube. No more autostart for me !
Why aren't most people doing this?? Does unplugging that plug affect anything else on the truck?

Most of us on here didn't know about the F-150 owners that "discovered" this a while ago. I've had mine unplugged for well over a year now--no issues. I did try it on my mom's 2021 Escape, but a message popped up with something about "something's wrong with the charging system", so I plugged her's back in.....maybe Ford got wind of the easy fix/hack and made it a PITA for the newer vehicles ?‍♂

I mean buy a dongle that's 80$ that you prolly want to remove before going to dealer or unplug one wire and just plug back in before going for free. Seems like an easy choice?

I posted sometime back that my solution was a $3.00 night light from Walmart. Plug into the 110v socket on the back of the console, and the A/S/S stops working. Really easy and inexpensive solution..

This is an excellent suggestion. In fact, any power-drawing plug will work. My wife sometimes runs a humidifying device (for her sinuses) in the passenger seat during longer trips. We just leave it plugged into the 110V socket in the back of the console, and I have essentially forgotten about A/S/S (until new members bring it up)!

I put a $3 night light there and it works fine.. If I want to put things back to "Stock" when I take it to the dealer, I just have to unplug the light and put it in the glove box.. Easy/Peasy
Jim, does the truck shut off the power to the night light after the truck has been shut off? If not, won't this light put a contant drain on the truck's battery?

The power shuts off after 15-20 minutes so it won't drain the trucks battery. I've had this in since I bought mine and it works great. If you drive in S mode that disables it too.

They should really change the description on the Amazon.com page to "ideal for bedroom, Nursery, Bathroom, Hallway, and Ford Rangers...."

Anyone actually try the below idea? I had the same though but have not looked into it much. I normally just press the button every time before shifting into gear. The aftermarket pig tail harness is not worth it to me at $100 when I can just push the button or simply switch the wires at the button.

I assume there is a connector to the console switch. I don’t have a wiring schematic of the switch, but, if 2 wire terminal ends could be swapped in the connector, would that connect power when ever the ignition is On, thus always having the switch Off all the time, and if you wanted it On, then you could flip switch on console, thus turning On the auto/stop feature.??
I assume that is what the auto stop eliminator does?

2 sec fix - Just simply disconnect plug at negative battery post.
And you just disabled the entire Battery Maintenance System (BMS)

I was going to mention that given all the things that are connected to our ranger's battery.
Ever seen anything like that? I haven't.
