So I took the truck to Smith Cairns Ford and let the mechanic take a look. He had me come in and show him exactly what was wrong, and we confirmed that it is not the green fuse, but it's one of the knife-type fuses that are in the High Current box. There is a 4th power supply that is connected, but there's no fuse installed where the harness pigtail would attach to the power distro plate inside the box. We took a look at another Tremor that they had on the sales lot, and that Tremor had the fuse that I didn't have in mine. He showed me the page in the service manual for the High Current Fuse Box, and the part was labeled "F5" on the screen, but we couldn't find a part number when we spoke to the Parts Dept. I will try and take a pic that next time I am out in the truck. They took a bunch of pics, and are consulting some kinda Engineering Department about getting a number, or if the harness has to be replaced. Do you know of any possible part numbers?

Sorry the entire box is missing from our parts data. Your dealership should get an answer back in a few days from Ford though. Luckily this is also a generic part used in other vehicles so it can be purchased outside of ford such as https://www.ebay.com/itm/362895795379

I was looking to see if my tremor had all the towing package fuses and while I had the fuse panel flipped up I took a pic. Maybe this will help. I believe you are referring to the 100 amp fuse on the right.

Yes that's exactly what I was looking at. The 100 amp fuse is missing from mine. Thanks a bunch for the pic!

AWESOME! I had no idea what type of fuse that is, but now I can probably just buy one and install it myself with some spare bolts that I have lying around. I may have to wait on Ford mostly because it's too cold to work outside and I have no garage to the work in. Thanks so much for the help!

Hey Benny,
I have a 21 ranger Tremor XLT that came without the receiver hitch and thus has the standard 4 pin trailer harness. I have confirmed visually that the wiring for the trailer brake is taped up under the dash. Is there a harness available, that would plug in under the rear bumper, where I could add the factory 7pin plug in the bumper? Best I've been able to tell is that that harness section has the reverse sensor harness wrapped up in it. I also can see where there is a knockout place in the plastic bumper cover where the factory plug assembly would mount, but there may be more parts behind that needed to mount it.
Thanks,
Jason

Thank you Benny! I would definitely need both. When I order on the website, how do I ensure that you get the credit for the sale? I'm new to the forum, so want to make sure you get credit for all the help you provide here.

Thanks,

Jason

So if the Tremor has a different alternator. What is the amp output on that? Does it hold up to water/mud better vs the peasant models? ?

Sorry I cant find the AMP ratings off of a VIN or on any of the online spec sheets I came across. I would think that Ford would want to advertise this more as a selling point.

Probably just higher AMP output because of the outfitter switches.

It won't be any better with mud.

Benny,

If I'm not mistaken the Tremor alternator is 250A.

First Line - HB3T-10300-AA ( Ford Part Number )

On the same sticker in small numbers 12V followed by large numbers ### (amp rating) and just below that "JAPAN" (country of origin). If I'm not mistaken a standard ranger will be marked 150 while the tremor package will be marked 250.

Its very consistent when looking at used parts that most of the Ranger parts out there for 2019-2021 will be -AB (150) and -AA will be (250). If I'm not mistaken the large numbers are how MotorCraft mark the amp rating on the alternators. When I found my backup used alternator I went through this exercise. For example the JB3T from Australia all are marked 210 (Thailand).

Hope that helps.
