Any details on how much the crash bars were rubbing? Trying to decide between 285/70/17 and 285/75/17 like your setup. Trying to decide if I could get away with BDS intrusion beams instead of removing them entirely.

I don't know how much I cut them right off the bat. But I can tell you I have zero rubbing. I can say I cut right where the 45 degree starts on the front and on the rear between both bolts. Looking at the new bronco sas it's very similar too so they probably aren't all that important if the bronco sasquatch gets away with them entirely.

Yeah i'm not too concerned running without them.. But I did already buy the BDS ones and installed the front ones, so Ideally I'd put them to use
I may just give it a shot and see how it works.

Hope this helps. No rubbing with the amount I cut out even so no rubbing on wheel well covers either. Picture is to show I have flexed it out quite a bit. Accelerates about same speedo is off 7mph although I haven't recalibrated ecu. I get between 11 and 12 mpg.

Yep removed all and removed the plastic waffle blocks too.

Any details on what intrusion beam modifications you needed?? I actually got the same wheels (RRW -RR6H), Fox 2.5's and am trying to decide between 285/70/17 and 285/75/17. I'll have BDS intrusion beams in front and rear, but trying to figure out if the 285/75/17 will actually fit without rubbing.

I've seen other members fit a 285/75/17 with crash bars removed, so that's always an option too I guess.

In my setup, at full left turn, there is a slight rub on the D/S front wheel well. Not enough for me to really be annoyed by. The intrusion beams I use are Ready lift which is more beefier than BDS beams. So you might be able to get away with no rub issues.

I've had a few questions since I posted in the off-road pic thread so here's my setup.

I'm running BFG K02 275/70/18s (~33") on stock rims with the Bilstein 5100s on the highest setting. They are suuuuuper tight but so far no rubbing even after some mild off roading in Moab.

Here is how far I am from the knuckle:

I can just about get my fingers in-between the knuckle and the tire at it's closest.

The stance is near perfect in my opinion.

Here's my crash bar tolerance. This is driver's side, full right lock at the front crash bar.

Here is the rear crash bar, still on the driver's side, but full left lock.

I'm sure if I got to full compression, I'd have some rubbing but I'm fairly convinced this is the absolute biggest you can go on stock rims with a level.

Would running this same tire but with a 2.5" level up front still fit with the same wheels? Wasnt sure how much the 5100s gave you up front.

I know you upgraded to 295's but was wondering if you had any old pictures or had an idea of how much they poke out with the 275/70r17 , was looking at purchasing the same wheel/tire size. Also you had zero rubbing/clearance issues w/ spindle/crashbars w/ only a 2" lift ya?

I didn't have any rubbing issues with the 275's and all crash bars.
