lol...I though the poll is for "hard folding tonneau cover"...why doesn't Diamondback qualify?Haha. Doesn't count in this folding cover contest.

Uh huh. Well, if my massive hand strength does rip apart the steel cables because of the angle I won't say I wasn't warned. It's a wire but it's recessed. Hard to explain the forces... but the force required in-line is way less than required at a steep angle from the plane of resistance (spring)
I picked the Leer for many of the same reasons. Although not the recessed flat.https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/sandman-ranger-build.3383/page-3#post-67896
Few reasons.
Flat
Folds all the way up and locks in place. Does not cover the 3rd brake light.
Matt black and well made.
Fairly weather proof.
Easy fold up and access.
Can lift out if one must.
Locks with tailgate.
Looks good.
I had never considered having the cover flipped up would protect the rear window - I always thought it was bad because it totally blocked the rear window. I never liked that "feature" of some of the solid covers, but I can see why it could be a good thing. One reason I love this forum. I love hearing others experiences and perspectives.I installed a BAK F1. Basically a MX4 but composite instead of aluminum. Slight weight savings.
I am happy with it but I believe if I were to do over I'd do the MX4 and save some money...
I forgot my reason for BAK. I like being able to use the whole bed of the truck when necessary and protection of the rear window from tall cargo shift is a BIG plus.
I initially considered a "Roll-N-Lock" style cover but loosing almost a foot of a 5 foot bed didn't make scenes.
I looked at a lot of covers before I chose a BAK cover but in the end it all boils down to personal preference.
Someone else stated that there is no perfect choice for a bed cover and I agree...
Made by Agri-Cover, model is lomax.Great to hear.
What model? Does it have a reference?
