I went with the Undercover Ultra Flex because it was a little less than the MX4, plus it came with a bed light and an additional $100 rebate. It sits up a little higher than the MX4 and removes without tools. Overall I’m happy with it!
Thank you for your input!

As long as you are happy with your purchase is all that matters. I am with my Gator EFX. Unless you have installed all of the different types and brands there is no standard to qualify it universally. YMMV :^)

My local supplier has the Ultra Flex at a screaming deal and I figure that it's features are so similar to the MX4 im just going to go ahead with the Undercover. His big selling point for me was pointing out that in full open position the cab and bed articulate independently so even though it's a soft rubber it'll still rub on the MX4. Not that I'll use it locked open too often but that pretty much sold me with how similar they are.

The longer warranty and included bed light are also nice to have too!

Definitely looking forward to the light feature!
Just a heads up, the light has to be mounted on the passenger side, making it a little harder to reach. If you put the left rear tonneau rail clamp where it’s supposed to be then there isn’t enough room for the light on that side.

I ordered an MX4, The left rail was damaged in multiple places. I decided to install other parts and hopefully Bak would send me a new rail. Went to put the rail on the bulkhead and some of the hardware was missing. Got really frustrated and called customer service. The lady was no help. I hung up and will be sending this thing back. Its a good looking cover, but damage, missing parts and rude customer service is enough to warrant trying another brand.

That's the absolute worst!!! :headbang: I pride myself in how I deal with helping customers find exactly what they need to get them on the road as quickly as possible. It's just a bummer when other people don't take that position seriously. I get having bad days but if it's your job to be helpful and you're just a sour person, you need to find a different career. As stated before, if you really liked the features of the MX4, the Undercover Ultra Flex is VERY similar and I think worth giving a look at.

Sorry to hear that.

Like @PNW_Ranger87 mentioned, the UltraFlex and a few others on the list have similar designs.

And if you want to go the route I did, the LEER HF350 has been spectacular in my eyes.

I went with the Xtang Xceed. I like the matte finish of their EnduraCoat covering (the aluminum panels) and the rotary/handle latching system. Installation was easy and I was able to run the drain tubes behind the Bed Rug. I have had no water leaks at all. I also installed the Xtang e-light 500 and their MaxSeal tailgate seal.

The light is plenty bright at 550 lumens. It's small enough to mount under the latch area so it is flush and out of the way. It also doubles as an extra flash light. It's rechargeable so no need to wire it. I really like it!

Thanks, looks like it works well. I was expecting something similar to the light that came with my Undercover tonneau.
