90 degrees here and 63% humidity. It actually felt worse this morning when it was 82 and 75% humidity while I was mowing the lawn. I used to be a summer person that didn't mind the heat and humidity. But after I put on a bunch of weight unfortunately I don't deal with it as well. That's my own problem... I need to diet and exercise more. Now I look forward to fall.

Well I fought through the heat and I am sort of at a point where I can't do much more until the actual garage is installed. Keep in mind the retaining wall blocks are not set in place permanently yet (some of them are out of wack). I am going to square them off the building once its in place. The pink string is the outside dimensions of the garage.

Once I have an actual garage door to you know, back into I am going to lay two guide lanes for the tires using pavers. (I hope to eventually pave the entire interior).

As you can see lots of room even when the doors will be open. Nose of the truck is about a foot back from where the garage door opening will be (8 feet tall x 10 feet wide fyi)

Yea electrical is one of those things I am going to enlist help with. I do want to run multiple outlets on every wall. To get started I am going to run a couple of extension cord pass throughs that mount flush to the exterior. They will still be useful once hard wired power is run.

Will get my LED shop lights and gable fan up and running to get me started. Still debating two smaller gable fans or one bigger one. They will all be wired up with wireless on/off capability.

+1 to what Rick said - it’s a lot of work to get where it is right now, not to mention everything else you’ll be doing - pavers, electrical, shelving, storage, etc., etc.

That’s going to mean a bunch of “paid duty” hours (do you have that where you are) but will be well worth it - way better than working in the Garazeebo - am I right?

The outside temp was 96, but feels-like temp was 108. Very hot and humid. Poor husband almost had a heat stroke working outside yesterday despite frequent breaks and hydration. I am so thankful for air conditioning. Spent much of my youth without it.

Yes, the heat has arrived to the South. We’re having a similar heat index here in the Atlanta area. Next week looks better though.

I also grew up without AC in North Carolina. Trying to sleep was miserable in the summer, so I too am grateful for life’s conveniences and comforts now.
