I've seen quite a few pilot usernames on some of these threads. So... where are the pilots at. What plane(s) do you own/fly?

I know @taildraggerpilot is going to like my hangar.
I'm a CFII/MEI that teaches tailwheel in a J3 cub for fun, I own a Skywagon, and I fly a friend's citation SIC occasionally. Though day job is enginerd.

I have not taken any lessons - but a co-worker Bartered (Maint) for Lessons
Got his License and I think recently got his (IR), he bartered aircraft time for Maintenace as well and recently purchased his own airplane.

I've got a VFR license for single engine land. Fly Cessna - 152 / 172.

Been a while though as age is creeping up on me.

Learned to fly in Colorado Springs. The turbulence off the front range made for great sport, esp 20-40 miles east of the mountains.

In the summer on hot days, the 152's couldn't get above ground effect on the shorter 8,000' runway. The airport elevation is right at 7,000'

The airport has been heavily improved since I flew there, with an additional 11,000' runway, and closure of a shorter east/west one that had quite the incline / dip in the center of it.

Anyway - good memories.
