I've got just over 4,000 miles on mine now. We're going back up to Goodyear in June so I'll probably have them (Brakes Plus) change my oil and rotate the tires and will also be good for about a year.

Soon, you’ll be able to go to a Buc-ee’s when you go to Goodyear.

Oh crap - shouldn’t have told you - now you might move back.

Just changed the oil in the blue beauty this past Saturday. O’Reilly’s had plenty of oil. All brands.

On the other hand, with the stupid, non-sensical, uncalled for war with Iran and the resulting oil industry shockwaves anything is possible. With oil it is a world market. Like it or not. Has been forever.

Could buy an electric. I can’t even type that with a straight face! Me? Electric vehicle?

It isn't all about the Straight. A lot of of it is the disruption (IE they blew up part of) to the Pearl GTL plant in Qatar. That knocked a huge part of Group III base stock out of the market. Something you just can't replace by drilling more, or importing it from somewhere else. There is nowhere else to get it from in bulk.

Lots of good information in it from foxtrot88 who is an owner of a large oil distributor/blender.

I already have almost 80 quarts of 5W30 Valvoline Restore and Protect on hand and that's what gets used in everything I own these days. So, see you in 2-3 years when my stash is empty.

I did just get an oil change at the dealer he works at, no warnings about low stock but they did raise the full sythetic oil change price quite a bit. From like $100 to $140 since the last change a couple months ago/5k miles ago.

Bahh, I drove right by Buc-ee's in Amarillo 6 times last years and never felt the need to stop there once. That would be the last place that would get me to move back to that area!

ULV is spec mandated to use a Group III base oil. The same base oil that is going to be hard to come by for the next year.
