It'd be nicer if the US wasn't so darn stubborn and bull-headed and had switched over to metric when we had the chance. Metric is so much nicer and easier to use.
Yes a mix is a pain when one works on these things ,,,I agree.
BTW I'm trying to figure out how I can put Heated mirrors on my XLT. Any Ideas are welcomed.

I dont know what there is door-side for connectors, but in-general if you can get heated glass-sub-assemblys for the mirrors you can swap them with the original. The glass-sub can be removed with a flat-head screw-driver used to disengage the clips to the glass actuator. Wire then needs to be routed through the pivot and into the base. You'll need to remove the mirror from the vehicle, remove the skullcap and the trap door, then route the wire along with some of the other wires through the pivot tube and then through the base gaskets. If the Door-side connector has extra wires in it for heated mirrors, then you can remove/cut those from the door-side connector and patch them to your new connectors. If not, you'll need to route the wires and figure out what to tap into to power them.

45 years ago when I was in the fifth grade we were told we had to learn the metric system "because everything would be in metric by the time we graduated". guess not.

2020 Ranger XLT with 301A. With Tonnaeu cover,
Tires: Bridgestone Dueler A/T 255/65/17R,
As of today I'm at 1564 Km/ or 972mi.

In town easy driving in DRIVE mode, I get about 12L/100km or 19.6 mpg
on the Hiway at 100km/hr or 60 mph I get 10 L/100km or 23.5 mpg
Using regular gas. 87 oct.
Now I'm switching to Shell or Esso 91 Octane . I read that 91 Octane in general does not have ethanol. Also I read that it's the ethanol that creates a lot of the carbon build up on the intake valves.
Anecdotally I think that the sweat spot for best mileage on the Hiway is at 100kmh or 60 mph. At 10th gear the RPM is around 1600. on flat road at this speed.
Here in Oregon 92 octane has 10% ethanol however there are a couple of stations that do sell non ethanol

Update time. Had the truck ('19 XLT with Sport appearance, tech package, tow package, bed liner) almost 2 years and just hit 30,000 miles. Had a Livernois performance tune on it for the last 5,000ish miles.

I have never reset my gas mileage meter. Over those 30k miles I have averaged 22mpg.

This is a combination of both highway and city driving, and nothing out here is flat, My trips from home to Denver have me going up and down over 1500 feet of elevation.

I remember this as well and maybe that’s why I had to take the 5th grade over 2 or 3 times, metric tripped me up. ;-)

Surprisingly not many. On my way to Denver there's no actual popping, but I have to yawn a few times to equalize pressure lol. On the way back only one ear usually pops, and that's not every time.

2020 XLT w/ fabric Tonneau, all stock. 2600 Miles. I hyper-mile whenever possible and squeeze out 23.8 mpg average, 60% hwy and warm cold engine 1 minute. Tires at 37psi. I "try" to accelerate from stop keeping max 2k rpm up to speed. No way this truck can reach window sticker 26mpg unless downhill with tail wind 60% of the time. Otherwise, very very happy with the Ranger!

Do you use Cruise Control pretty much all the time? I do and am getting over 25 mpg in an FX4.

Even in town, I accelerate up to speed and when I get to the speed limit I turn on the cruise. (It drives my wife crazy... o_O)

I don't get great mileage....I drive for max mpg about half the time (going to work) an drive like I stole it half the time (coming home).....I avg about 19 on winter gas an 21 in the summer. This truck seems to really lose mpg when the temp drops below 40.

I filled up an got on the highway an with the trip reset. I was going to meet my son an his family an hour away. I left early so I set the cruise on 65 mph an didn't jump on it to pass anyone. When I got there i was showing 30 mpg. Going home I set it at 70, it was cooler an there was a slight headwind. That knocked it down to about 26.5 overall. At this time the computer was showing about .5 more than hand calculated. I calibrated it to within .3 now.

Good evening fellow Ranger owners.

I took possession on Dec 21st & it's been at 18mpg.
XLT, FX4, 87 octane , 38psi & 580km.
Yesterday we went for a little drive & I'm looking at 18mpg & I know some are
getting this & other are getting 23/26. So we hit 600km & it starts dropping
from 13l to 12.8 - 12.5 - 11.9 & down. By the time we got home it's about 10.5.
In town before I hit 600km the truck was also doing about 13l/100km & now
I see 5 to 10. Today we went for another little drive, 3hrs, & the average
was 10.5, so close to 23mpg. I have not done a hand calculation yet.
I'm happy with the mpg so far & expect I can get a little better.

We love this truck.

You're getting good mpg and should get better after the winter and once you get more miles on it too. You might want to check the tire pressure sticker on the side of the door, 38psi is to high unless you're running LT's, usually it's 30 psi.

Also there were many on here that were off after you hand calculated them. If it is you can read the thread below and adjust it from there. It will take several tanks to adjust. I was off about 1.5 mpg from the OD to my hand calc. I think mine took 4-5 but now I'm close at .2.
