I get that driving twisty mountain roads near me @ 5 to 20 over the speed limit. There are two ways for me to drive from central AZ to southern NV. One is I40 which is posted 75 and everyone goes 80+, the other is old Route 66 Mostly posted 65 with no traffic. 22 ish MPG taking I40, 26 ish taking Route 66. Those extra 10+ MPH seem to make a big difference. Best I did was 26.7 on a 1000 mile trip. Very light traffic and with very few exceptions, never went over 68 MPH. 2022 FX4 with a soft bed cover and always run 91 octane.

I like saving money as much (probably more) than anyone. But it's a darn truck and they're not meant for getting great gas mileage. Saving 1-2 mpg isn't going to make any significant difference. Lift it, drive it, work it, enjoy it and if you want good mpg buy a Prius. :captain:?
Well if you drive 15K per year and average 22 MPG instead of 20 MPG that's s savings of 132 gallons. Which at current price where I live at $3.29 is $434.29 per year which will pay for cool accessories like a tailgate damper or 42 six packs of Bell's Two Hearted IPA which is my favorite beer.

I use the old school A/C. It's called 4/60. Roll down 4 windows and go 60mph. Worked great in my old 62 Nova!
Great idea if you have no other choice. Does kill the gas mileage though. Disrupts the airflow around the vehicle and causes a major increase in drag.

I drive my sons prius to get the best mpg. But I ha e driven it twice for 15 minutes in the last 6 months.

I just fill the tank when it says 50 miles to empty.
Lay off the skinny pedal. Every time coming to a stop jam it in neutral. Coming off an exit ramp, neutral and coast down

I go to KFC and sacrifice a chicken to the fuel milage gods, wipe the grease & breading from my mouth and put the pedal to the floor, most smiles per gallon allowed by law.

I'm in a relatively flat rural-ish area in Maryland. Day to day, I'm getting 23-24 mpg. On trips, I've seen 30+mpg on highway stretches. I think I got about 27 mpg the last time I took a road trip (6 hours). I run 93 exclusively. No tune yet, but gonna pull the trigger on the FPT soon.

Tricks.....not many beyond use your cruise as often as possible....including acceleration. My tires stay between 34-37 psi most of the time. Cruise as often as possible, stay off the brake as much as possible and accelerate like an old man.

Also, my MPG is hand calculated. The computer calculation is almost always 1.0 - 1.2 MPG higher than the hand calculated reality.

Also, I do have a cap, which I believe helps.
