An RTR or APG penis sticker would be alot better. Lol.
Lotta penis waving here.
If my penis had a roush sticker, would that bump me up to porn star status?

It’s interesting. Every one of your posts in this thread have included unprovoked insults directed toward Roush and Tremor owners. Your replies seem designed to antagonize, segregate and provoke conflict.

You’ve also managed to let us know that your truck will outperform/donkey punch any of ours; not once, but twice so far in this thread……again without any provocation…..and yet you criticize Roush and Tremor owners as “acting as though their trucks are drastically different”.

Seems to me it’s pretty clear who’s living up to a “stereotype” in this thread…..and who’s pushing the segregation agenda.
He’s run this game before. I don’t understand the hate either, just sounds jealous to me. You do you! Carry on.

Not sure that’s what I’d post … but thanks for the idea.
My idea was about ROUSH tuners, or ROUSH branded things …

As mentioned before … mustangs and f150’s were ROUSH too. Never got this bad of credit. Weird.
Roush has been mostly appearance based for decades. Their Mustangs and F-150s too.

Yes they offer true performance packages and upgrades for the aforementioned vehicles. However, the majority of Roush vehicles you see on the road or at dealerships are not much more than a spoiler and graphics package.

For example

The 2019 Stage 1 Roush Mustang gets you this...

  • GT Performance Pack Wheels
  • Dual Black-Tip Performance Exhaust System
  • Aero Corner Pockets
  • High Flow Upper Grille with “1” Badge
  • High Flow Lower Opening
  • Front Chin Spoiler
  • Hood Heat Extractors
  • Body Side Scoop
  • Matte Black Side Stripe Graphics
  • Roush Fender Badges
  • Rear Blackout Panel
  • Body-Colored Rear Decklid Spoiler
  • Front Windshield Banner
  • Hood Strut Lift
  • Roush Floor Mats
  • Roush Illuminated Door Sill Plates
For the same $6700 it cost you can put together a COBB Stage 3 kit, full turboback, custom ProTuning, and a set of drag radials or street class AutoX tires. And have money left to take your wife out for a NICE dinner.

It's not that there's anything wrong with Roush stuff. Most of us gearheads just prefer function over form.

I like nice stuff too. It doesn't all have to be performance oriented for me. Creature comforts are great too. I stopped looking into Colorado Bisons because I wasn't going to pay $50,000 for a truck without even the options of keyless entry and LED headlights. Roush Rangers fall in the same category for me.

Lol…..unfortunately, I can only guess as to how “stereotypical” Roush owners are perceived. Apparently I haven’t been around long enough to realize that there’s a “mold” I’m likely to fit…..and that my truck purchase says something about my character.

I don’t mean to sound antagonistic, but I’d be curious to hear exactly what traits stereotypical Roush owners are thought to have in common.

Lol, and If any of them apply to me….I’ll be honest and fess up to it.
From reading your posts I don't think this stereotype applies to you.

But when I see anything Roush branded, I figure the person behind the wheel is an odd combination of redneck ricer, narcissist , and attention whore.

All rules have exceptions.

No, but it might cause a bit of Roush penis envy for others.

This.

I get that sub-sections exist for a reason. However they only work when the traffic justifies it.

Stereotypes are not absolute, just a general rule of thumb based in some truth.

But the sentiment I've seen is that the Roush Package is a $13,000+ price tag for nothing more than a claim of prestige. A limited run of a mostly appearance packaged Ranger.

What would a Roush sub-forum be? A limited user prestige forum.

And thus the stereotype is self full-filling.

There is a whole sub-topic on what you could do to a Ranger with $13,000 (the before mentioned $450 tuner alone drops the Roush to the bottom of the performance list), but that would be a side-bar conversation.

Its your truck, enjoy it. Your money, enjoy it.
The stereotype is based on the notion that buyer’s buy Roush solely for prestige. That’s a huge assumption people are making and a massive brush they’re painting us with. Having read through nearly all of the Roush related threads on this site I haven’t seen one comment made by a Roush owner that would support the claim. Add to it the fact that there aren’t many Roush owners on this site to begin with, and you have to start wondering where the notion that we buy solely for “prestige” is actually being generated.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I purchased my truck because I absolutely love the aesthetics. For me, “value” isn’t strictly a matter of numbers. True value resides in the pleasure derived, so I’ll spend a little more to get a vehicle I absolutely love….rather than simply buying something I “like” at a lower price point. That has nothing to do with prestige, flaunting or flexing. I’m an educated buyer who bought the vehicle that appealed to me the most. While others may not see value in the Roush package, that’s fine. Value is subjective and relative, but projecting a negative stereotype onto someone with absolutely no knowledge of their motives is unjust…..and generally stems from a dark place in those doing the projecting.

Anyway, the question regarding what purpose a Roush sub-forum would serve is fair. I can see where some might view it as segregation of sorts.

However, it only “self-fulfills” the stereotype if you believe the original premise to be true….that people only buy Roush for the prestige….

And I don’t believe that to be true. In all honesty, I have a hard time understanding why it’s so difficult for some to accept that a Roush buyer may simply fall in love with the sum of a truck’s parts….and make the purchase because it’s exactly what they’re looking for.

Sometimes it really is just that simple.

Wow! Did this thread go south or what?

I don't get the want or need to be separated out. Unless it is for some kind of prestige/ego thing. Are not our trucks all Rangers? Don't all the special little mod things work on all our trucks. Are the Rousch, RTR or Tremors that much different that thing they do, do not apply to our lowly regular Rangers? Their all just trim packages with maybe a few performance mods that any of use could do on our own if we wanted, or maybe better. This is just us fighting among ourselves and helps no one.

Lots of "my truck is better than yours"
Flying on both sides it seems.

It’s to get a reaction. And it worked. 99.9% of the time on here I’m friendly and helpful. Ego’s and the “I’m better than you /my truck, tuner, model”attitude exudes from some members on here and I can’t stand it. I was simply giving back the attitude to someone who thinks they need a special
Section on here. Was my criticism genuine? To an extent because some members have a stick up their ass on here but in this thread it’s for a reaction. Don’t like it… block me. Lol. Can’t take some shit talking, you
Might be in the wrong place. ??‍♂
Nope, I’m comfortable where I am. I can talk shit all day and all night. I’m retired and just had all my meds topped off at the pharmacy, so I’m happy to go down the rabbit hole.

Just a heads up though; when my pm meds kick in I may not make much sense, so cut me a little slack, ok? It’d be like fighting a blind woman in a wheelchair. You won’t gain any street cred and neither of us are gonna look good in the end, lol.

I’m just gonna say one last thing and see if I can sneak on outta here and close the door.

I’ve had several conversations with Mack and can say with absolute certainty that this thread wasn’t started with an “our truck is better than yours so we need our own sub-forum” mentality.

The OP is a genuine fan of all Rangers, and from what I’ve seen and read he never once took a superior, antagonistic or confrontational stance anywhere in this thread.

Yeah, I support the idea of a dedicated thread or sub-forum, but I can also see why some would think it a bit uppity. There were valid points made. Maybe a sub-forum isn’t the right venue, perhaps a single thread would serve the same purpose….but that’s all that really needed to be said.

I’m gonna bow out as gracefully as possible at this point…..unless I get sucked back in.

I think we kinda flew this plane into the side of a mountain. I say we all go home and no one tells the authorities.
