Park it in the garage. :giggle: It's almost impossible to stay out of it as it's so much fun.?
Yeah, that's the conclusion I came to, I was so fixated with seeing how well I would do if I really tried. It was like what a snake must feel in front of a snake charmer...

Then it struck me like a bolt.

I am a 20mpg guy, with a 14mpg guy trying to get out every so often. I better just stick with 20 and call it good. :)

I try my best but I don't have very much will power. :( Especially being tuned and driving in S mode it's like a rocket.??

I just got back from a 5200 mile trip out west. All stock truck, 2021 lariat fx4. Hand calculated each tankful. Overall average 24 ( okay, 23.998), that was starting at 1000' msl (Virginia) up to 8000' msl (Yellowstone). I saw a high of 28 on low speed around the park days. I had a low of 21.5 heading out of Kansas to Colorado. I don't drive slow and had several days of 80mph days.

Still not as good as my Discovery TDI but I'm not paying diesel prices and putting in DEF.

Now that I have the boost gauge installed it is quite easy to stay out of boost and still keep up with the flow of traffic in the Ranger. I am well past the days of needing to floor it way from every stop sign. When I feel the need to be racy I just drive my Barracuda, it makes the Ranger feel pretty under powered even with boost.

I've got 40K miles and average 22+ mpg on the OG Hankook's. I'm in LA stop and go traffic for 100 miles daily. On open freeway under 75 mph I can avg. close to 30 mpg, driving style has a lot to do with how efficient this truck is. FYI it's a 2020 FX2 with a 2" level kit on the front and 1.5" spacers on all 4.

Not hand calculated. Today I hit 12,001 km, and the truck says 10.9 l/100km, or 21.57 mpg. Stock '21 Tremor. Based on what I get from the trip meter and the gas gauge, I think it's pretty accurate. I could never have gotten this from my '11 Tacoma... not even close. I'm not trying to get a low number.. no hypermilling here.

Brought home my 2023 XLT 4x4 SCab last Monday. Took it for it's first highway drive. 200 miles round trip. NW Oregon highway with hills and curves. I noticed when I was doing 55 to 60 mph, 24 mpg was easy. When I took it up to 65/70 mph it dropped to 23 mpg.
Round trip, up and down hills, some city side roads with stop and go I averaged 22.5 mpg.
I'm totally happy with the mpg with only having about 280 miles on the odometer.
