Installed mine yesterday before swapping filter, fluid, and adding lubeguard.

Perfect fitment, barely cursed once during the install (heat shield on cat has sharp edges).

My only complaint is that the ULV fluid is so thin that my near sighted eyes have to get close enough to lick in order to see the level. haha
Check it when it is cold, it is far easier to see, doesn't flow as fast, and just as reliable.

I'll give that a shot later today. Thanks

Yes it's thin, but it doesn't take much quantity to make it appear very dark in a container. At least after a few miles.

For the same reason you don't change your oil when it's cold. I don't have to change it that hot, of course, but I want to get as much out as I can each time I do it, so It's going to be at least 130° when I do. ?
Makes sense.

Check it using the cold method, you can easily see it then. Let your truck sit level over night, start it, run from Park to Sport and back at 5 second intervals, then immediately check the dipstick. Don't wait... check it immediately.

It should just show on the tip of the dipstick at 1/8". You're pushing the upper limit at 1/4". Tested to be accurate at 215F with fluid level on the diamond before 4 & 5. I ran the test at 75F ambient Air temp, Fluid was at 77.4F. Based on fluid temp expansion rates, you should be good from 65F - 85F ambient air temps.

This method only works with the MBS Dipstick (the "Fitzstick"). The Ford mini stick is too short.

@Fitzmotor It's been a minute since I've bugged you, but any news for the F-150 5.0 Fitzstick ?

Actually I have made progress, but only for the left side fill plug models, I have the template for the back of the head and I have the initial mock up setup.
Unfortunately the RR and the Explorer are ahead on the list, only because of they were available vehicles, they are both well into the design/mfg process.
I wish you were closer and I wish I had a better answer!!

Mike is the explorer for the 3.0 like the ST has? Or would that be the same as the RR? Definitely want one for the wife's ST.

The Explorer engine is too far back under the cowl to mount it to the engine, I am using the shock tower to mount the top bracket, so it's not engine dependent.

Do you have the stock shock tower brace?

My wife's ST is a 2026 if it came with one then it is there. She won't let me mod this truck, but I can make my maintenence easier. I'll look this evening and see if it's there.

They do come with a stock one, the reason I ask is the aftermarket brace may not allow the dipstick mount, so you will be fine.
