Nothing completed, making progress, the local F150 that I was using for mock up, is a work truck that became too busy to tie up. Plus it's the 2.7, the least requested version.

I have had a post over on the F150 forum for almost a week trying to pull in another truck, almost 100 views, no bites yet.

It is surprisingly hard to find vehicles to use for this!

Friday yet?

F150 taking a back seat to the stepchild Ford Ranger! Too Funny! Thanks for the laugh. And a special thanks to Fitz!

The filler funnel is an under appreciated item. I was super happy with the dipstick but when I went to top off the transmission after service this was perfect:

Oooh! When did the funnel get included? That’s handy. I’d like one.

Did anything else change about the dipstick since the original versions? I just got my transmission flushed, new filter, PPE pan installed, etc. They use BG products and even used their transmission additive. What a difference in the way it shifts. Big improvement. Now I need to take it on a long drive and test the levels. I’m sure they added what was needed. But, I’d like to double check.

The dipsticks have gone through some minor changes over time, what serial number do you have?
It's on the bottom of the shaft of the dipstick up by the handle. The biggest change was the tip of the dipstick.

I offer free funnels to any customers who bought a dipstick before I started including them.

Message me your address, but I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow morning, I won't be able to ship it out until the end of the month!

Thanks
Mike

I purchased a Fitzstick for my 2019 Lariat last year. I am on my last year of extended warranty. I am no longer able to do much work on my Ranger. Has anyone been able to get local repair shops to install the dipstick. By the way, 77K on my Ranger with no issues yet. I do drive it like the grandpa I am lol. Jerry

I have had customers get them installed at many shops, it seems the labor charged has been about an hour, which is hopefully 5 minutes reading and understanding the instructions, then it should only take another 20 minutes to install it. Yeah, I know that math does not add up, but if it actually took them an hour, they would charge 2-3 hours 😳

I had a local shop install mine. I'm not sure how much it cost as I had other things done at the same time, but it wasn't much. Well worth it.

Fitzstick works great, super easy to do fluid exchange.

Getting the original dipstick nut off was a major PITA though. Recommend going in via wheel well instead of from underneath

I was able to get it from underneath. Was able to get the wrench in just the right spot to break it loose. Once it's loose, it's all downhill.
