Took my 2019 Ranger in for an oil change today at the ford dealer that has done all of my maintenance. They told me my lug nuts were swollen and needed to be replaced otherwise they could not rotate tires. I said go for it, and asked if this would be covered on the power train warranty- as the truck came with a lifetime powertrain warranty when I purchased it. To my surprise they claim lug nuts are not part of the power train. Can anyone explain the reasoning why lug nuts would not be part of the power train? They are essential for the car to move, right? (I checked the literature and agree they are not covered as it’s written but I don’t agree with it)
btw today’s service was at 110k miles, with my only issue being an EGR sensor that went bad at 65k miles. Original transmission going strong!
