Back in late winter or early spring there was a thread about the lug nuts used on our trucks.
My question is: Has anyone found replacement lug nuts for the Ranger? Something beside the nut with a tin cap!
Thanks for any info you have.

Pretty much anything will work as long as it’s M12-1.5 with a 60 deg seat.

Yes, there are what they call tuner lug nuts that have a specialty socket for install and removal. They have what they call splines on the heads and only the special socket is suppose to be able to remove them they come in black and chrome, and the black ones are what I put on my wheels that I buy from Les Schwab tire centers here in the pcnw (Oregon), they are 2.50 a piece and up in my neck of the woods.
The ones for my Ranger were 60 and the ones for my Ram were 90 and both have 6 lugs but the Rams were a larger size of course.

I would *VERY* much recommend the Gorilla lugnuts as replacements. These are very high quality and used by many, especially in performance applications. I replaced the crap two-piece set from my Mustang with a set of Gorilla's as well and they were FANTASTIC.

You can easily find a full set in chrome or black:

Black: https://www.cjponyparts.com/gorilla-lug-nut-kit-small-diameter-24-piece-ranger-2019/p/WHLLN87/

Chrome: https://www.cjponyparts.com/gorilla...ameter-chrome-24-piece-ranger-2019/p/WHLLN86/

It'll be a purchase for my Ranger soon, once I decide if I want to replace my factory chrome with black or chrome with the Magnetic rims.

They come with a spline socket which you will need to keep with your truck...a regular 19mm socket attaches to the end of this tool...

The ones I posted are just a direct replacement to stock, no special tools needed to handle them. Some people really want "security" with their lugnuts, I've never found a need for it, I just wanted some higher quality lugnuts that won't cause problems for removal/installation.

Yes, it is a special socket around 3 inches long that you put a tire wrench on so you can remove the lug nuts, but no regular tire wrench fits on the tuner lug nuts
only the special socket with the splines on the inside, so unless a person has the correct size of removal socket with the splines the tuners cannot be removed by any tires wrench or any other type of socket.

and you'll find that you annoy yourself and your mechanic much more than any wheel thief

If the socket isn't left in the cup holder most mechanics will use a regular socket. They pull the tuner lug nuts off just fine.

I also agree about the Gorilla splined nuts... they work great. I’ve had a set of them on my Mazda for 9 years. A set will find their way in my Ranger in the spring with its new wheels!
