Could you test the soft tow. Also there tunes adjust for fuel quality correct? is it 87-93 or 87-91 and 91-93?
The tow tune is 87 to 93 octane use. Could you use a higher octane? Possibly but who knows what it could do(probably not as bad as using 85 octane)

Just pulled down the V4 last night. Will be driving it today and can report back. I notice that every time I flash a tune the shifting is rough for a bit (expected), smooths out perfectly, then over time starts to get jerky and clunky til I can't stand it anymore.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

I only noticed the rough shifting when I first flashed the 91-93 performance tune and it did smooth out somewhat. The soft shift tune was smooth right from the start.

Edited this for clarity. I haven't tested the V4 yet. My other observations of jerky behavior are for flashing previous versions. I'm beginning to wonder if my trans is underfilled like others have reported.

This was my experience on my 2019. For whatever reason, my 2021 has reverted to weird shifting over time regardless of which tune I flash. The tow tune is doing it now too. ?‍♂

I only ran the tow tune for about 2 tanks and didn't care for it but never noticed any rough shifting with it. You might want to have the fluid level checked just inc are it is low.

I haven't updated mine (no pc only Mac) yet and I'm going to call Livernois to see exactly what the update was for. I think the soft shift is perfect so I'd like to see what they did before updating it.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it! I'll probably crawl under there tomorrow and see if I can get a reading without scarring my arm. ?

That's always been my motto but I'd still like to see what they did because it's always run/shifted great.

So I just called Livernois and he said they just softened the shifts a little more with this update. He said some thought it was still a little rough for their liking. I told him I thought it was perfect and asked if there was any reason I should switch and he said no. Said there could be a "slight" loss in performance to but not a lot. I'm going to leave mine the way it is.

Cool. Gonna leave mine as well. I like it where it is now. Thanks for clarifying for the group!

My opinion, if your tune is working quit FN :) with updates or you’ll end up in the “Cloud”.…

Curious where you are seeing V4?

I have updated as others, with the unplug / plug ritual, but no changes on the BIN files that I can see.

Thanks!

To show ya'll how GREAT Livernois Motorsports customer service is.....I called Anthony @ Livernois on my way home yesterday at 4:01 pm their time on Friday afternoon and got his answering machine. I left him a message inquiring about the MyCalibrator and tunes updates. I get a call back about 5:30 pm their time on Friday evening from Livernois informing me my updates for Mycalibrator and the tunes for my truck were ready for download....

I don't know about ya'll, but I consider that exceptional customer service!!!!

Thanks Livernois Motorsports!
I LOVE your products and being a part of the Livernois family!!

In your image I see V2, V3, V3, V3. Both of my 91-93 Performance Tunes (Soft shift and regular) show a V4
