Well my I found the parking assist graphics finally. It just popped up finally. Maybe after a few restarts and a drive it was finished with its set up. They moved it over to the sync screen. I liked it better in my direct line of sight, I hope they give an option to put it back where it belongs. I got home pulled into the garage and it started downloading another update, ha. Hopefully just a map update.

My parking assist graphics have always been on my SYNC screen. Only thing I had on my instrument cluster screen was lane keeping. Besides I don't think SYNC updates mess with the instrument cluster screen.

Anyone notice a complete change in the NAV screen layout. It works OK but I liked the old one much better. And it was a complete surprise when it changed.

I too am receiving map file updates very slowly. I think I am getting about three per day and I believe there are 14 files for the map update. :frown:

I have not checked for traffic data; retired and don't care. :like:
I just wish mine came in that fast. It seems like the map update has been going on for at least a couple of weeks or more! I don't use my navigation very often, but I needed/chose to, only to get a message saying it's NOT AVAILABLE!

Why wouldn't Ford offer the map updates for download to a USB as well?

My infotainment system just upgraded last week to the latest all on it's own. While I love the new layout as I think it's much more usable and provides more information, it has a couple bugs that annoy me.
  • Every so often Sirius XM bugs out and won't play. No signal or anything. The radio and all other features do work and eventually it'll come back on but it goes out every other day.
  • When receiving texts it tells goes off like a pinball machine telling me I received multiple texts from different people, none of which are received. One text and it may chime saying I received six texts, all from different people.
Anyone else experiencing this and any ideas on how to correct it?

Thanks,
Scott
My 2020 Lariat screen rebooted while I was driving 2 Saturday’s ago. Later that day after sitting in the very hot sun my XM locked up with no audio etc. AM/FM was fine. I thought it was heat related. XM Started working again a few hours later when things cooled down. Then it happened again 2 days ago when the weather was not hot & after only a 5 minute drive. It must be the damn update! Grrrr ?

It's really odd because mine will work fine but if I shut the truck off to go into a store real quick when I come back out it won't work. If I turn the truck off again and wait a while it'll turn back on. It seems to only impact Sirrius satellite. I've just started doing a soft reboot and that allows the satellite to work again. It's a total pain in the ass that Ford really needs to fix!

WHY does the radio/infotainment need so many updates ??? I did one about a year ago and after reading this thread, I don't think I'll be doing this one or any others. I had my Ram for 6 years, and it never needed an update, except for one that provided security against someone hacking into it.

What are they "updating" ??

Mine shows 3-7 duplicate texts from the same sender.

I am having the same issues which started the day my sync updated/rebooted. Today I looked in the menu & see another update downloading. I’m hoping it’s a fix for the XM radio bug ??

I just noticed my clock was incorrect the other day. I reset it and the next day it was off again. I hit the "check for updates" button. We'll see if it updated a patch.

So does the system only update when it's connected to your Wi-Fi? I'm not sure how it could do it while driving down the road but then again I'm not a technology wizard. Wonder if I should leave the ignition on while it's parked at home for a while?
