Low speeds? My bearing issue was at speeds above like 12mph and the rate of squeal increased with speed. I could go 25 or 70. Didn’t matter. Wind noise would drown it out some at 70. Anyway my initial guess is that it’s not the bearing. I have an issue where I get rear brake squeal at like...
Now the V6 I think would be nice (non Raptor) and I’m sure the FX suspension would be an improvement from what I drove, but I’m very much aware of my payload numbers since I’m towing and I think the 2.7 eats into that a bit. That’s why I got the RWD XLT as my payload capacity is 1674lbs. Not...
Tire pressures were correct. I verified that as I’ve made that mistake on my truck if I’ve upped my pressure slightly when towing. This was next level. It felt planted and well behaved. I wanted a bit less blam to the bumps. I wasn’t expecting the 1970s Cadillac “hey I’m driving a sofa”...
Facts. In my younger days I couldn’t get out of a ticket to save my life. Now if I was a pretty woman, I would’ve gotten a warning. I knew someone that fell into that category and would make sure they had an extra button undone on their blouse and take southern accent and I swear she would get...
The loaner was RWD and not an FX. I can deal with no rocking side to side (roll) but jarring bumps reminded me of an old ride of mine, a 2015 VW GLI. It’s suspension was quite stiff since it was sporty.
I think because I have the ford extended warranty for 7 years, 100k and no deductible (purchased from flow ford), that makes a difference once they are able to evaluate it and make sure it’s gonna be there overnight. At least that’s my guess. Either way I’m entitled to something with the...
In public, rarely. In my driveway, more often. When I backup, I can get the truck at a better angle in a specific part of my driveway than I possibly could pulling in normally.
Anyone seen this on the 2020? I tow a few tones a year but it’s our 6000lb or so camper. I haven’t seen any issues. I will say that the suspension was broken in after towing and hasn’t changed since…which reminds me, I gotta adjust my headlights down a smidge.
I’m going to be brief and say that I appreciate a couple of things. It was slightly larger and the tech was a nice change from my XLT with 302A (I had all the tech on my 2020). That said, one thing was a hard no and that was the suspension. It beat the crap out of me. I do have the FX2 package...
The dinette sleeping is small so if they’re adult sized that’s gonna be a tough one. We’d contemplated either having someone sleep in the recliners or putting a single air mattress on the floor. We never measured to see if that would work but just wanted to share our thoughts on extra temporary...
Not sure how I missed this thread but we tow our 2023 Grand Design Imagine XLS 23LDE with the Ranger. Have a 2020 4x2 XLT FX2. Tows just fine. Of course you have to be aware of trucks and I don’t tow over 65 mph but it’s totally fine and the only time I felt like I was heavy was when I was going...
Ok so I have a whopping 21K on my 2020, BUT had a transmission failure at less than 3000 miles and they had to replace the valve body as there were issues (solenoid stuck, something else...not sure if there was more to it). I had a fluid change then of course. That said, when do you think I'll...
Interesting about the porpoising. I have a 2020 Ranger 4x2 FX2 and a Grand Design 23LDE. Definitely get a bit of this even when the WDH is dialed in. Want a comfortable ride that isn’t jarring and doesn’t porpoise - what is the solution and the jarring isn’t occurring as I’m not hitting the...
Limited edition. Autographed by Ford CEO what’s-his-name. Also, I see things like this where something is way outta whack pricing wise and my brain goes “that’s money laundering”
I’ve turned it off. And turned it back in at one point to see if I liked it. And within a few days turned it back off. It’s not quite a V8 but maybe a robust V6 lol. I wish it was the real sound but it’s only for the driver. I also think it’s there to drown out the more mechanical noises that...
I’m pulling about 6500 with a 2023 Grand Design Imagine XKS 23LDE. I’m sure when I had to drive a few miles with full tanks to dump I was pushing 7200. I’ve never had an issue. I’ve always run premium gas and synthetic oil (Mobil 1). When you’re pushing an engine you don’t skimp or it’ll bite...
Hey my transmission did something similar at 1300 miles. They had to replace the valve body which I guess also has all of the solenoids. Anyway since then, it’s been smooth like butter except the normal laggy shift into fourth the first time (or two) it does when it’s cold.
Was trying to reply to @TexJones but the posting didn’t go that way.
I have a 2023 Imagine XLS 23LDE. It seems to tow fine but dialing it in helps a lot. I noticed that your propane tanks aren’t mounted in the pic you posted with your 2600RB. How was your hitch weight and payload? Anything...
