We have been married for 40+ years. Have argued over the temp the entire time. The compromise temp we have finally come to during the winter is 62 degrees. I would not run it at all and she would be 75+. She wears sweaters and I'm in shorts and t-shirts.

Winter, heat - 64 overnight, 67 day. Was 62 but overnight but I've given in a little in my old age. Was 65 during the day but now that I'm at home all the time...
Summer, ac - don't recall but probably 80. Usually depends on humidity. We use a whole house fan which helps quite a bit.
Yes, I'm cheap. More money for toys that way and not so bad when you have to go out in the cold.
In the summer 67 feels cold but in the spring after a cold winter, you are pulling out shorts and tshirts.

I live in a house full of women.

72 winter

75 summer

I work nights, there's always somebody home or awake. I don't use the programmable functions. Set it and forget it like Ron Popeil.

Winter days 68 and 64 at night. Summers 72. In the North East so the temp swings can be extreme sometimes. We have a nat gas furnace with central air and a pellet stove in family room for winter ambience ?

69 Winter, 70 Summer. I'm not a big fan of change, so I keep it to a minimum.

With the high humidity here in Louisiana, it's 75 summer days, down to 69 at night. During winter I keep it at 65. I live alone in an older smallish house, ~1000 sf. My highest bill is about $90 during the hottest parts of summer. That may be due to low utility rates where I live. It's about 10 cents per KWH.

Winter: 65
Summer: Off until humidity necessitates AC.

Live in the woods in northern Michigan so winters are brutal but summers aren't too bad.

One thing though (for us out here in AZ) setting it at 78-80 is normal. When it's 108+ outside that a 30 degree difference is comfortable. Most ac units are at their max to handle (30 degrees) as far as temperature swings. Being a dry heat it's easier to cool down without all that humidity in the air.
