I can't answer that question. I don't think I opened the door a half dozen times when I had the Drivebright LED's installed. Same with the Ford LED puddle lamps.

I don't know when they switched, but as posted in another thread, this spring I had to replace a puddle light on my 2019 Lariat and the replacements are now only LED. Parts guy at the dealer commented he had noticed that change just a few weeks earlier. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I got the Amazon ones and used heat shrink wrap. So, they should last. But, I’ll go OEM if/when they crap out. I didn’t realize they started manufacturing them LED.

Just a quick update: I'm the original poster here, and I installed these nearly 6 years ago now (holy crap how time flies!) - and the ones I installed have never given me any issues at all. No flicker, still as bright as ever, they have worked perfectly. If they ever do act up, I'll likely switch back to OEM, but so far I've had very good luck with them.
