Is this basically the same design as they've been selling overseas for the last few years? They had that in a TG / GT episode Pickup Face off or some such title. Clarkson bent the side walls while loading it so the tailgate wouldn't close.

I don't know how similar it is to the global Navara, but the internet claims it's a whole separate model for US/Canada. Some similar design cues, but the exterior is certainly not the same.

I wanna say that episode it's Grand Tour, and they are testing the Mercedes X-Class (Nissan base), VW, and Ranger trucks. It's the Mercedes/Nissan that they need to ratchet strap the bed/tailgate back.

Hammond also thrashes good Ranger in that one. I might have to rewatch it.

Did they improve the turning radius?

Both of the Frontiers I owned had a turning radius like an aircraft carrier.

This and the MPG (my 2011 actually got decent MPG. My 2018 Pro4X got miserable MPG) were my main gripes with them

You don't really notice it much until you're either in a tight parking area or off-road at a tight turn.

Edit: And does it have a driver side grab handle?

If Nissan would have just gotten the new frontier to market about 4 months earlier I would be driving it now. Had to have a truck and couldn’t wait so I bought an almost new 19 Ranger. Love the Ranger but I must admit that I looked at your pictures with more than a little envy.
