What's funny is that all those complaining about us adding dampers to our tailgates because it's so light, your're the first one to bring up the damper glovebox.?
I have the same problem with my glove box but on top of that, one of my cables is slack.
...you might throw a rod too.
The reason for the damper on the glovebox - Ford got sued to Pluto because someone got a knee bruise when the glovebox full of Mac D's ketchup, straws and napkins fell open as the engine tune kicked the truck to 127mph...the glove box also soiled that persons pants or so they claimed...?
You might be able to see if it you look under there on the door side of the glove box. It looks like a big white cylinder. Someone might have removed it from the glove box and forgot to put it back on before sending it to the dealership.
I did on my lunch hour. Nothing there except the post to hook on the loop. No white tube spring or line to be found! I got JACKED ?
