Yes, I quoted that printed in the manual. Service manager did not disagree with me, but stated that Ford was instructing them to check it differently than the manual after requesting approval to dig further on the issue. That revised procedure is what I've requested in writing. They appear to be running warranty work like the medical field. Pre-approval for everything that costs money.I asked my dealer about this right after our last oil change. They go by the book, checked again after 15 minutes. Level was in the hash marks.

After driving home two hours, I checked the next morning. Level was between the hash marks and top hole. After sitting overnight, my level is always consistent, not rising, and stays below the top hole. I'm calling it good, but will keep watch.
