Try Fox mountain bike shocks for a brutal service interval. I rebuild mine once a year, but should really be doing twice a year. Similar cost to truck shocks, but the local shop can do them. Usually $150ish for both the fork and rear shock.
Is it worth it? Do you really feel the difference?

I prefer not flushing money down the toilet buying multiple aftermarket parts for the same solution and instead researching. Buy once cry once is what I learned, not buy many times chasing ghosts.
OK, so this I totally agree with.
.....except with suspension.
I watched every YouTube video and read everything I could find. No amount of research prepared me for the amount of subjectivity in suspension. There are so many opinions, and they're all right from someone's point of view. I learned (the hard way) that my Fox 2.0's were inappropriate for my aplication. If/when I send them back for rebuilding, I'll be requesting a much different tune. That said, I'm not sure I would go back to a 2" shock body, and certainly not with a 550 lb spring.

*** For Me *** Your use case may be way different.

I vote Bilsteins!

I did Bilsteins first and much better than stock Non-Fox things, but then again I have moved on to a full Stage 7/8 Icon Setup.

The Bilstein 5160's look nice. So you're saying you think they have been a slight upgrade from the Fox 2.0s?
I don't love the word "upgrade". With my RSI SmartCap, my fridge, Aux batteries, awning, etc., they're better for me. If you don't load your bed, you'll have a different experience. Not better or worse, just different.

This.

Suspension isn't like a tune or exhaust, 99% of the time my truck will feel and sound the exact same as yours. But putting your suspension setup on my truck isn't going to make it ride the same.

And yes, in most use cases slapping some bilsteins, icon or foxes on a stock vehicle will make it ride better than stock. But that doesn't mean it is a good ride... But doing that to a modified vehicle, or who that tows or hauls a bunch could have negative impacts for ride quality.

Has anyone had shocks rebuilt from Fox? Curious on how long they take tk get back to you.
I emailed them yesterday for shits and giggles, they said a full set have a turnaround time of 7-8 days. Little longer than i hoped to hear, but they did get back to me incredibly fast for whatever its worth.
