  1. Suspension Upgrade Advice for 2021 Ranger (King vs Rough Country vs Fox)

Before anything else, let me say that any main stream product out there is going to be better than what you have. I wouldn't suggest that you spend top dollar on anything until you try something more moderate. At that point you have a basis of comparison. I went from Fox 2.0's to Bilstein...
  2. Ranger + SmartCap = 🤘 🤘 🤘

So that's the same idea as the 3rd 12v circuit. Perfectly fine for occasional use.
  3. Ranger + SmartCap = 🤘 🤘 🤘

Yeah, but if all you need is a little intermittent light every now & then, it's fine. If you need anything more, do you really wanna be pulling that off your starting battery? Fwiw, 12v aux battery components are getting way more cost effective.
  4. Ranger + SmartCap = 🤘 🤘 🤘

You can use the third 12v power circuit that's tucked under the drivers side rear fender. There's plenty of info on it. Personally, I use that circuit for ignition power so I don't have to tap fuses.
  5. Ranger + SmartCap = 🤘 🤘 🤘

Holy smokes! I've been waiting for you guys to find your way here. I have a solid boatload of questions & concerns. First, can you introduce yourself and tell us what your role is at SmartCap? Also, are you out of Texas or SA? Thanks & welcome to Ranger5g Brett.
  6. Ready to upgrade suspension.

All my stuff is in the signature line. See below. (It scrolls 3 or 4 lines)
  7. Are the FOX Performance 2.0 Coil-Over IFP Front Shocks worth the money to put on my 2022 for ranger xlt fx4?

I have the Ford Performance bumper, a warn winch, and some additional lighting on the front of my vehicle. If I didn't, I'd probably feel different about my choice. Maybe stick with the 5100's? Who knows. As I think about it, that's probably what I would have done while I send my Fox's out for...
  8. Are the FOX Performance 2.0 Coil-Over IFP Front Shocks worth the money to put on my 2022 for ranger xlt fx4?

Go to shocksurplus.com, enter your vehicle info, then scroll down. You'll see them there.
  9. Are the FOX Performance 2.0 Coil-Over IFP Front Shocks worth the money to put on my 2022 for ranger xlt fx4?

So, this is a great example of just how subjective suspension is. Unfortunately, the only true way to know is to try stuff and see what you like. Sometimes it becomes a ratio of what you're willing to concede to vs how many dollars you're willing to lay down. As regards my 6112's, I know there's...
  10. Are the FOX Performance 2.0 Coil-Over IFP Front Shocks worth the money to put on my 2022 for ranger xlt fx4?

Investment? Truck parts are never an investment. They're a disposable commodity. Are the Fox's nice? For the right person under the right circumstances, yes. Are they a great value for the money? No. There are a bunch of great options out there that will significantly improve your ride quality...
  11. My Ranger rides like crap. Help!

Was there ever a time when you were happy with the mods? Like when it was first installed or was it unpleasant from the moment of install? My Foxes are now in my shed and I'm on 6112 / 5160's.
  12. My Ranger rides like crap. Help!

Icon leafs.... It's a variable system. Did you use all the leaves or did they leave some off? If you used everything on a truck with no extra weight, you'd certainly be unhappy. I used everything but I have a steel smartcap, awning, battery system, and a boatload of other stuff.
  13. My Golden Setup. Amazing ride and towing with no rubbing

Not much story to tell. They're designed for a stock Ranger. The extra weight just overstressed them. They were ok for a little while but just stopped doing the job after a while. Edit: For those who have them, if you do the bumper & winch, change the springs. Don't give it any thought. The 550...
  14. My Golden Setup. Amazing ride and towing with no rubbing

I loved my Fox 2.0's until I trashed them with a winch and the Ford Performance bumper. 6112's on there now.
  15. rear brake issue

Outside my scope, so I'm here for emotional support and personal edification. B.
  16. Hey All!

My bad.... ....what he said. B.
  17. Hey All!

Just use a multi meter to check for current. If no one has touched it before, there's a protective dummy plug in it. If you need to check the fuse, it's right next to the two fuses for the inside 12V power points. (Under the hood) I think that info is in the owners manual.
  18. Hey All!

This is easy. There's the super secret power circuit clipped up under the drivers side rear fender. It's actually the third 12V power point for those with the drop in bed liner option. I bought a harness from Wolf Haus that's plug n play. Certainly enough juice to run led bed lights. No wires to...
  19. Hey All!

Welcome, and remember.... Just cuz we plow tons of cash into our Rangers, it doesn't mean you have to. ...just kidding, yes you do.?
