I'm looking to getting the fox 2.0 kit or the fordperformance version. If i ordered would I need to buy anything else with it? I would like to keep the same height. I would have it professional installed.

it should have everything you need. The rear shocks you can reuse the existing bolts and they are very easy to replace in your driveway. The fronts are a little tougher, but do-able. You should replace the front axle nuts and they can be sourced from any Ford dealer. If my old self remembers, they are about $2 each.

I would ask your installer if they expect you to provide anything other than what comes with the Fox 2.0’s. I bought the axle nuts and my installer didn’t remove them in the install, so I bought them for nothing.

Cv shaft nuts are required. Just order them so whoever installs them can use them. Otherwise they could reuse the stockers which are torque to yield and are one time use.

This kit levels out the truck. I like the stock rake, so I had my guy install 1" blocks to the leaf springs.

Hey Jimmy,

The Ford manual indicates which nuts to toss and replace when installing these coil overs when it’s done by disconnecting the UCA, tie rod, anti-sway linkage, and axle. I recall that I bought tie rod, upper ball joint, anti-sway bar link, and axle nuts because I followed Ford’s instructions. See the link below - it shows which ones to toss out.

However, it can also be done a different way, by disconnecting the Lower Control Arm - a completely different procedure.

So, it really depends on what your shop does and if they follow the Ford procedures, including all their references to “Remove and discard”.

Talk to them first and find out which procedure they’ll use and whether they need you to supply any additional parts or if they’ll be ordering them ahead of time to prepare for your install.

This might come in handy - part numbers up front - torque specs on page 20…

You can adjust them down to the factory rake, before installing. You just need to have a spring compressor.

Sent you a PM for a better price on these.

I have done Front coilover replacements 3 times....by myself with no help ...First time using the Ford Tech manual method, disconnecting everything to get the spindle out of the way for access to the coilover...

And twice doing the disconnect the LCA from the frame method.... by far the easier route....takes 1/2 the time and zero chance of over extending the CV joint ends.....still don"t understand how this is not the more common , widely used method....

I bought the Fox/Ford Performance kit from Stage 3 a year ago partly because it came with all the bolts and the axle nuts. it even had new bolts for the rear shocks.

and I did it the manual way... took a couple hours for the first side. about 30 mins for the second!!
in hindsight I might have tried the LCA removal if I did it again.
