There was a period after the June build
date where they found some extra aluminum knuckles , that they mixed into production....use the magnet or eye test...
Steel are a black color , usually with some surface rust..
Which one you get depends completely on knuckle material.... aluminum or steel....
stud taper of ball joint is different for each.... 2020 is the year they made the move to steel....aluminum at the start of the year , steel at the end of the year...
You have obviously put alot of thought into the whys our 5G drive shafts suck.
Mine started with Carrier Bearing failure at 8,400 miles...dealer said they were backed up, could not even look at it for over a month , and the drive shafts were back ordered indefinitely.....made my choice...
I used the wedge shaped shims that go under leaf spring and rest on top of axle..
Installing with the thick end of wedge forward will rotate Pinon angle lower...
I went with the shims milled from billet because I like to occasionally drive fast in the desert...also I recommend an upgrade
in...
I adjusted my Pinon angle down 5° after installing the T.Woods One pc...was trying for a 1° room for axle wrap..After installing the shims thick end forward on the axle perch to rotate the pinion angle downward , I ended up with 0.4° lower Pinon flange angle from parallel to the Transfer case...
The remote reservoir are for added oil capacity......More capacity and better cooling = Longer life...Heat is what kills
the seals....Don't have to jump , just washboard roads will elevate temp...

U Bolts torque to 98ft lbs. Final step with
wheels on ground.... The hardest bolt/nut to torque is front/top bushing , up by the fuel tank, that is 190ft lbs...
No peeps no squeaks, no cushions between leaves....l gave the end bushings a shot of 3-n-1 Oil dry lube and torqued everything to spec.....3 years now ...1st batch Stage 3motorsports got from ICON.
Running them with the 2.5 ICON shocks...
