Installed this update today. Haven’t driven enough for a real opinion.

It will most likely not ever be compatible with the Apple Silicon Macs (M1 chip) as those are ARM processors and can't even run Windows 10 x64 in a VM.

They are supposedly working on getting the ARM version of Windows 10 working on it, but I really don't see why. It's so limited that it almost isn't worth the effort.
I thought I'd provide an update here. Running Procal on Parallels was a failed experiment; download was fine, though I get a notice stating that it can't be run on a virtual machine when I try to open. Oh well.

I tried to do the same, but I had an issue where I kept getting an error when trying to download the performance tune and didn't want to be a nuisance. I really wish they would make more things Mac compatible, it's not 1992 anymore. Thats a shame to hear.
The code is the same as it was in 1992, mostly.

Are you using bootcamp or actually installing Windows onto your Mac? Im asking because I went to Costco to buy a crappy little pc just to download the tune lol. I really hope they make it Mac compatible in the future
Well, I'll be following your lead. Costco has a Windows PC on sale for 250... should be good enough as a dedicated Procal 4 machine.

Look at newegg if you're looking for a Win10 machine. I don't know if procal will work with some of the win10 sticks, but I would check it out, some are under $100. I picked up a portable monitor for $110 (now a bit more) that I use with my laptop and phone, adding that to a portable PC might serve your needs, plus you have a portable monitor after. I find it useful for watching shows when I'm on the road instead of looking at my phone.

I'm not a PC guy so apologies in advance.

I bought a used Windows 10 laptop and installed everything just fine. When I heard there was an update I plugged my ProCal into the same PC and it won't connect. Windows Registry Error. Can anyone lead this non computer guy in the right direction?? I'd like to add the update......

I did my update a while back and I got a similar error. I had not used that particular laptop for awhile, so I ran some Windows updates, then updated to the newest version of the software (not the newest version of the tune). It installed an additional .NET update, then everything worked as expected.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will likely pick up a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad for 150 from Newegg. Should work well enough. Thanks again!

Macs are PC's with a Linux derived OS running, instead of Windows. Just boot it and wipe the Mac and install Windows 10, do all the updates. It should be fine. You don't need any of that data on the Mac, do you?

Thanks man! I'll give that a try.

?? It's just my personal laptop for general everyday use.... The old used PC was bought for Forscan and ProCal only....

Macs run OS X which is BSD Unix, not Linux.

Both start out with Unix but Linux is Open Source whereas Mac is very closed.

They are not binary compatible.

If you install Windows 10 on Mac hardware, depending on the Mac, you will need the drivers from Bootcamp to make it work as there are no MS drivers for some of the Mac specific hardware like the Force Touch trackpad.

There are some 3rd party companies out there that make drivers for it though.

Maybe this means the release for the 2021 model is close.
This statement on the product description on the ford performance website is definitely new

I got the tune from FP for 2 reasons:
The torque improvements (for towing) & the Factory warranty.
So when I saw this, I went to my dealer for the update. At first the Tech couldn't see the update, but they disabled the Firewall in the shop and it popped up.
I've put 1000 miles on my truck since, and I am glad to report that it feels better than the first tune.
The engine revs up a little longer from first to third. The shifts are smooth and solid.
And now I have the piece of mind my tranny is safe. (Haven't towed with it yet with the new update....)

I just downloaded my 1st tune on this truck and my butt dyno didnt feel the torque but it gets to 65 a whole lot faster than stock did. I am very impressed.

Which tune did you instal? Where you really notice it is when you're already cruising at 65-70 and put it to the floor. It pulls really hard and next thing you know you're at 110 in no time. ?

So does the FP tune allow you to switch between tow mode and non-tow or is it strictly in one mode all the time?
