Ford Performance Tune - Update

I just noticed that everyone else has an AAR.bin file type and I have a KC.bin on mine... any clue why? And does this matter?

You should connect to the ProCal app and see if it will download the latest tune. I believe the KC.bin file is an old tune. AAR.bin is the latest I could download.

Seems like a decent price considering you get the K&N too and maintain warranty. The Livernois tune is $499 which I have been considering since you can load your own tunes and use whatever octane you want. My understanding is the Ford tune is supplied by Livernois, so do we assume the tunes between ford and Livernois direct are the same for 91 octane?

Your understanding that the FP tune is supplied by Livernois is wrong.
Ford Performances calibration was done in-house.
Livernois is a small independent aftermarket tune shop that makes calibrations for all sorts of GM, Ford, and Chrysler platforms.

well someone posted here not long ago screenshots of the FP tune and I recall somewhere in the filename there was an indication it was the livernois tune.

IIRC it already is but you have to call them as they haven't updated their site yet.

I have downloaded the tune and spoken with with Ford Performance about it.

Livernois has no involvement.

I'm watching for this also. I called Ford performance and they said in the next month or so. They also told me not to purchase the previous one as it will not recognize it.
