I’ve driven it for a while now and like it more than the original tune. More grunt where you use it and better use of the 10 speed.

I was wondering what useful information the Tuning device displays that might make it worth mounting on the provided mount?

Is the blacked out information some sort of joke I don't get? The VIN is blacked out in one spot, but clearly visible in the next, and the stuff is so see-through it's not even funny.

Not enough for me to bother with. Boost maybe. It’s in the box it came in.

So what? Big deal. Get over it.

Thanks for sharing the update, much appreciated. I’ll be performing the update once I get Windows installed on my MacBook.

Are you using bootcamp or actually installing Windows onto your Mac? Im asking because I went to Costco to buy a crappy little pc just to download the tune lol. I really hope they make it Mac compatible in the future

I was going to do this and ending up using a friends PC to do mine. I asked Livernois if they were going to have a Mac version and they're not.

I just had my tune installed the other day. Have only driven with it for a few days now, but I absolutely love it! Truck feels much more refined, (than stock, can't speak on the last tune) the shifting is great (doesn't hunt and doesn't skip gears much, doesn't clunk into gear anymore), the power is throughout the entire rpm range now and will pull hard all the way to redline and has quite a bit more low end and mid range grunt as well. I have thrown it in sport mode a few times and its quick! Shifting is quick and aggressive, but still smooth and won't break your neck.

It will most likely not ever be compatible with the Apple Silicon Macs (M1 chip) as those are ARM processors and can't even run Windows 10 x64 in a VM.

They are supposedly working on getting the ARM version of Windows 10 working on it, but I really don't see why. It's so limited that it almost isn't worth the effort.

I tried to do the same, but I had an issue where I kept getting an error when trying to download the performance tune and didn't want to be a nuisance. I really wish they would make more things Mac compatible, it's not 1992 anymore. Thats a shame to hear.

Yeah that part of it is annoying. I love my M1 though. I have also heard some decent things about Parallels, although, I have not tried using it myself yet.

I have Parallels, have used it for years without issue.

I had a Windows PC and gave it to a friend who needed one. Thought for sure I’d never need Windows again. Well, not the first time I’ve been wrong, won’t be the last haha.

Thanks for the tip on Parallels.

I used it years ago but switched to VMWare Fusion and then switched back and forth between it and VirtualBox and pretty much forgot about Parallels.

Looking at the Parallels site, it looks like Windows is trying to make x64 apps work on ARM as well which would be a big plus.

I still have an Intel Mac but would love to get an M1 when they can run VMs. They have awesome benchmarks for processing power.

My biggest gripe is that I can't upgrade RAM. I need 32GB minimum to run a virtual network with server and hosts.

That said, my Ryzen 3900X desktop runs VMs like a beast
