Go to Levittown, a sponsor of ours. Should get it in 30 to 45 days.
Yep. I shot Benny a message. Backordered 30-45 days. And yes, $176. Not sure it's worth that to me.

Didn't have an issue paying $80 for the middle tie downs. And have used them multiple times already. Money well spent. But $176 for an engine cover? Most likely ain't happening on my truck. I want it for the appearance. But it's cheaper just to squint real hard and imagine a 7.3L Godzilla when I open the hood.

$80 for some tie downs that could have been substituted with $10 parts. There is no substitute for the OEM engine cover. Sure, there is this Metal Engine Cover which seems to do little more than hide the engine top, but its $180.

I’ve been following all the discussion about the deleted engine cover and potential issues with rusted in spark plugs. Living in the Northwest…it’s damp and wet 9 months out of the year. If anyone is going to have a problem it’s me! I have a 2022 Lariat Tremor…no engine cover. So I scoured the web and found a cover that appeared to be the ford part number. Showed up this morning. It is not molded plastic, it’s foam! Does anyone foresee an issue with a foam based engine cover?? I’m a little leery of it and how it hold up. Someday I imagine it will crumble. But I’m hoping it will protect me from these issues for a few years. Anyone smarter than myself have any thoughts? Trying to decide if I return it or install it.

It’s legit. That’s the way they are. It’s also meant to deaden the sound from the high-pressure fuel pump.

Appreciate the help! Glad to know I wasn’t bamboozled.
It's foam, so it floats.
Think of it as an "emergency flotation device" for your Ranger, should you ever drive it into deep water......:like:

It is supposed to be foam. Note the >PUR< in the lower right of the underside photo. Indicates Polyurathane foam. Cheap product that withstands wide ranging temperatures well. There is also polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam that is used in the cryogenic industry that is good from -300ºF to +300ºF.
Ultraviolet rays are the chief decomposer of PUR, moreso than high temperature; not a problem under the hood.

I wonder how hard it would be to pull a mold off if one and get cheap Chinese knockoffs.

Even if you got 'creative' and made a two piece - aluminum top vanity plate with a heat resistant foam sound/water insulator you could probably get a little more than $100 for them.

The first part probably would not be hard, getting a mold. The second part also not too hard to get a cheap Chinese knockoff aside from the cost and commitment. Once you find a manufacturer you would probably have to commit to buying a few thousand at the very least least. Given that do you think there are a few thousand people looking for a 5G Ranger engine cover? Probably not, most people without one probably don't care or even know it was a thing at one point.

I think they would sell like crazy....over 16,000 members on the forum....bet there are a few thousand that would pay $10 to $20 bucks for a knock off.....heck, I'd even fork up $25.

Member count and active members as in people that actually read and follow this forum regularly are two very different things. But again good luck making a $10 -$20 knock off from China. It can be done but you'll have to order a lot to get them below that price and shipped. Heck, if it was so easy and profitable and there is such a demand why hasn't it been done already? It isn't like the engine cover delete is a new thing? Or are we guessing no one has thought of it by now?

I bit the bullet a couple of months ago and ordered one from Levittown at the $176 price. Took me 30 days or so to get it. In any event seemed like something worth having.
