So the AC plug iny back seat is excessively loose. Like everything falls right out.

Called the dealer and they said they are 1-2 weeks out. Ok no big deal. They say I can't get an appointment I have to leave it there. Ok not ideal but I can live with it, i get a loaner correct? Yeh no.... Cant get a loaner until it is physically in the garage.

What is this crap? I bought it at the dealer 10 months ago. Rodeo Ford in Goodyear AZ by the way. Excellent sales experience, never said that before so I mean it when I say the sales guy was awesome.

Suggestions?
Not to be the pro dealer guy but between part shortages and staff turnover nearly every service department is dealing with the same level of crazy delays right now.

All signs lead to a recession with 2 consecutive declining GDP quarters and inflation at 40 year highs. Usually with a recession, the unemployment rate will increase however unemployment numbers still look good contrary to signs of a recession. Of course this WH admin is touting the low jobless rate as evidence their will be no recession. Numbers & data can be skewed or manipulated to support your narrative and in this case it's the unemployment rate. Dig deeper and the reality is more people have taken a 2nd job while long term unemployed peeps have completely dropped off the radar and mo longer counted in the data. Given those factors the unemployment rate is much higher than what we are lead to believe. = Inflation putting the squeeze on lower wage earners forcing them to get 2nd job

I hate to hear about your situation, but having just left working for a Ford dealership, it's pretty normal about now. Not enough employees, not enough parts (although it was starting to catch up a little when I left), and no loaner cars to loan out. We had probably 200+ cars on our lot and roughly 150+ of those were customer cars in for repair. Service appointments are appointments to get you in to see the service advisor, not to get your vehicle looked at. It basically gets your vehicle in the que. Now you may be quotes "X" number of weeks until they get to look at it, but behind the scenes a more master mechanic is most likely going to be looking at the RO (repair order) and dispatching the vehicle to an appropriate tech in the shop. Sometimes they look at the problem on the paper and say, "Bob can get this done pretty quick over where he works on trim stuff." And then it's dispatched pretty quickly and handled much quicker than originally quoted. And sometimes, your transmission guy is 6 cars back, and then breaks his ankle over the weekend, and then 3 cars come in that Monday with transmission problems to add to the que of cars. Ughhhh. Ask me how I know. It seems like dealerships were starting to hunt a little harder for more help to help ease the work load, when I was leaving.

Thought about it. I have more pressing matters in life. Dont need to loose my security clearance because i felt like being obnoxious and getting arrested. It would probably be considered an act of domestic terroism the way the world is going.

As mentioned it does seem every form of business these days concerning customer service has no idea what it is or lacks the manpower.

My truck sat on the lot 10 days before they rolled it in for warranty work, (AC) and the part was in stock.
Many of my concerns were brushed off with threatening time delays or “it’s a truck, not a luxury car”.
Several calls and complaints to Ford’s 1-800 number below fell on deaf ears.

I envy those who do get great dealer service.

There are different measures of the unemployment rate. The usual number that the media gives is the U-2 (not the band from Ireland) but the true unemployment rate is the U-6.

The dealer we bought at did zero to sell us the car. Still not sure how to access the rear seat storage. The sales manager came in and did old school stuff like what do you mean you trade is worth 14-18 we can get for 11 all day long. Then he explained all the costs and I was like what is that extra 4,000? He was like oh that is for the extended warranty I just threw in their trying to deceive you. I should have got up and walked at that point. We did the trade, and next morning reached out them to say we wanted to just pay cash instead of doing trade and they told us they had already sold the car....... not sure how you can sell a car when contract has not been completed... he said we gave you 15k for the car... and i was like why does it say 14k on paper work. Just felt totally lied to by the dealership.

The company I work for is on the 800th person in training class since the 1st of the year . This is to fill a 63 person vacancy . We have had several come in and tell the interviewer that they do not want a job , that they just have to show they came in for the interview . Most just lay out of work so often that there is no choice but to let them go and many just work a day or two and never come back after lunch . We employ 900 people on 4 shifts here and it is by far the best paying company around .

Is this the same company that was recently busted for hiring underage migrant children to work in the plant? Probably couldn't read-speak-write english either...

This is a valley wide issue for all name plates. Total joke. Happened to my daughter at VW dealership. In the new car showroom when a salesman approached me about buying another VW, I pointed to the service desk and said, not until they get their act together. Same exact thing, make an appointment to drop off the car, THEN wait another 5 day for a diagnosis, THEN wait for the repair !! I have my own OBDII meter and gave them the codes upfront.

I would wait to get that issue fixed and in the meantime if the AC port is loose buy an adapter in a big box store, flatten out the blades on the adapter to hold to the AC port and the plug your items into the adapter. That should work until this nonsense subsides.

At work, we have a brand new ambulance, built on a Dodge chassis. The truck will randomly lock and unlock, by itself. The ambulance manufacturer has looked at it and says it's a problem in the chassis. Dodge says it will be two months before they can even look at it.

Airline travel is a complete mess right now, primarily due to 'staffing issues'. Have a story in front of me from DFW airport last friday. A 'knockdown - drag out' happened between a Spirit gate agent and prospective passenger.

Seems to happen daily somewhere. My last commercial flight was in January, 2017 when I flew home from the west coast, never to work again. Formally retired almost 8 months later, but not without a fight. Glad I'm done now as I flew constantly around the US - Canada.
Yes, and US travel is terrific, compared to international... I think It will be years before things truly settle down.
