I have never had an issue with warranty repairs.
The caveat to that however, is that the shop has to jump through the hoops, process' and procedures before they confirm the problem and approve the repair.
Its annoying, but also understandable.
Warranty coverage is abused. They have to do this because of it.

Question regarding them installing your Billstein's. Assuming you brought them in to have them installed. Did they indicate they wouldn't warranty the work since you brought the shocks in yourself? I've had several auto shops tell me they wont do or warranty replacement shocks since they didn't procure them. I haven't asked Ford yet if they also take this stance. I just recieved a set of Ford/Fox shocks - even shows the Ford P/N on the box so I'm hoping I won't have an issue when I take it in to have them swapped.
Nah they are very laid back there. They didn't say anything like that and just agreed to install them.

Today I brought my 2019 into the dealership for a no heat issue. My warranty expires on 10/24, they called me back to inform me that my heater box is shot and there is a TSB for it. They are going to replace it under full warranty.

As expected, YMMV.. but seems like a positive experience overall. Good stuff, thanks everyone. Good info for myself and anyone else who's been wondering the same.

My Dealer couldnt do anything till ford approved it. Rear brake rotors warped at 6k, I have never towed up to that point. Ford solution "2 weeks later": Re-surface rotors and put OLD brake pads back on. This lasted 3 more K. Said hell with it and put new rotors and pads on myself. I have little faith that correct action will take place in the event of a major failure. Still better than nothing I guess.

you got lucky lol this is my fear with my truck, the AC box warping my 3-year expired lats week. i do have a 3rd party extended warranty for 6/75K with a $100 deductible and have used the company on previous vehicles so no worries there.

To me, this suggests the brakes were never bled properly from the factory and caused uneven wear to the rears or the rotors were faulty from the onset.

I turned my first wrench for a living in 1973. Was a service writer for aprox 1 year in that time. you would be amazed how attitude of cust & dealer personnel can affect service. I had a customer come to the shop & call me every thing in the book. He had just bought a F250 & it didnt get him home. It died, wouldnt restart, just dead. Had it towed in. got drop in my stall. Cust was po like no tomorrow. Questioned my heritage, the whole 9 yards. After he left I diagnosed the truck. Needed a cam sensor. $20 part. Didnt know where #1 cyl was so it quit. Later on cust came in for service on truck. Came up to me & apologized to me. Everything worked out in the end, the gent became a pretty good customer. The point is, keep your cool, explain things the best you can, & give the tech time to do his job. Ranting & raving never fixed anything. Rember, the dealership didnt build it. And with all the high tec sometimes not easy to repair.

In my experience the techs actually doing the work are the people I trust the most. The issue is when the manager steps in after and negates everything the tech told me he will do.

My local dealer has always been johnny on the spot with warranty and recall issues - my daughter had a 2014 Focus with tranny issues and they never batted an eyelash and I didn't pay a dime after several visits. They even extended the warranty to 100K. She traded it before then. Other than the tranny issues, the vehicle ran pretty good - it must got annoying. Last week I brought my Ranger in with a suspected battery issue, and they replaced the battery no questions asked (25K miles). I'm pretty fortunate to have a great dealer after reading some of the threads with opposite experiences - they do all of the maintenance work on my Ranger and are very honest and do good work - the hourly mechanic rates are about the same in my area anywhere you go, so I just bring my truck to the dealer. Not a fan of the quick oil change places, but that's a personal choice. Besides, they have a record of everything since they do all the work.

If you bring your vehicle in with valid defects, I've found that the work is done with no hassle at all. If you bring your truck in and say that the weld-spatter on the exhaust hangers offends you, you might just be dissapointed in the way your concerns are handled.
