Crappy Ford service is 100% why I let go of the Ranger. Violent vibrations made my back hurt on longer drives. Was this way bone stock only 3 weeks into ownership from brand new. Had alignments and road force balancing with no luck. The last straw was when Ford techs said its normal to vibrate...
Wish NC was that lenient. Our yearly renewal regs are tied in with property taxes, insurance, and safety/emissions tests and all must be oaid before paying for renewal
Hope it works out for ya man. Carvana did beat all other dealers in my area for Ranger sale. Love/hate relationship with that truck but I could see where the vibe issue was going with lack of dealer support and was not willing to fix on my own dime, hence the sale
Not sure about the new Gen Frontier but my 09 4 banger Frontier still drives well. Test drove the new Frontier last year but did not bite. They should be built well but fell slow coming from Ranger
100K miles may be a milestone but def not considered high mileage in my book. Vehicles in the past have 3x that amount. A bunch of used Rangers for sale on a website doesn't equate to them all being reliable vehicles. What prompted them to sell those Rangers in the 1st place. If I had something...
I did as well last week. Loved the exterior looks and engine performance. Only real complaint and a deal breaker was the random vibrations and lack of dealer support. It seems like quality control was lacking in some areas. I was really hoping to keep the truck for its lifetime but had been...
Thank you. Def gonna miss the truck & soundd like a big trade down. Satisfied tho wIth the replacement (22 mazda3 Select)as my needs changed and priorities are more about fuel mileage and comfort. Still gonna lurk on the forum here cuz it's a great community of members. BTW no dealer w I thin...
Was it Car & Driver (can't remember) ? stated his rear occupant got sick riding in the back LoL. I can empathize cuz with the random vibrations goin on I can barley stand driving period. It's a truck and I expect truck like firmness but got intolerable on my long distance commutes. Especially...
Noticed I get better mpg avg than most as well. Mostly due to 0 elevation. Have been getting 24-26mpg consistently last 18 months on 17" tires & 2.5" lift w FP tune
Dealers are keeping a huge chunk. Offered $21k for my 1.5yr old Ranger w/ 19k miles on it. They will likely sell it for over $31k on the lot. Not bad making ten grand profit for turning over 1 vehicle. 21 Scab w tow package and modifications totaling $4800 extra.
Our Maintenance guy at work has over 300k on his 4g and still going strong. Helps that he used to be a service manager with Ford and does all his preventative and repairs himself
There's some security in the fact that I could easily ride my bicycle to work and run most errands in town on a bike. Since relocating to a new job I now drive 80+ miles round-trip to work. Needless to say, I rack up miles quick and longevity is a necessity for my vehicles. This couldl likely be...
