I don't get how people can panic buy eggs. It's not something you can keep around like pasta, rice or a can of beans. Limited shelf life. There is one consumption rate for eggs and it shouldn't really be changing. We've been cruising thru the stores over the last few days, seeing no increase in store inventories, just huge quantities of shoppers, cars in the parking lots, ect--So drove out to Hickman"s egg store yesterday--Store was closed, but the LED sign stated, Open Sat!! Since we haven't seen any eggs in the supermarkets, I drove out to Hickmans this morn, ( 7:00AM opening), an encountered a line of "egg buyers", stretching down the highway!!! I waited with everyone else in line, got thru the egg store-employee's were in the lot, taking "CASH ONLY", and delivering eggs thru the vehicle windows, limit two 18 packs--came out, and the line on the hwy was over a mile long now--1 hour to get thru the process, and they are out of eggs, after a one hour opening!!!
