  2. Average life of the stock battery?

I replaced my battery 2 weeks ago. The passenger door touch to unlock access was the first thing to quit working. ASS was likely the first thing to actually quit but I usually turn it off. Also the seat belt warning chime started sounding different. Replaced the stock battery with a Group 7...
  3. New Michelin Tires

May well do that. I did get them at my local Discount Tire store.
  4. New Michelin Tires

I stayed with the OEM size. 265/60 18
  5. New Michelin Tires

I haven't checked in with the forum for awhile so I thought I"d post on a new tire purchase. After 37,000 miles on the OEM Bridgestone Dueler HT's I had a new set of Michelin Cross Climate 2's installed today. For those unfamiliar with them I posted a picture of the tread pattern. I know it's an...
  6. Commercial Use Ranger

One of the security vehicles used in my neighborhood.
  7. 1980 quality cars?

Maybe they saw mine LOL. I bought it in Wichita KS at a GMC/Pontiac/Mercedes dealership. When I went to pick it up my salesman couldn't find it. We rode a golf cart all over the lots and finally spotted it. It was parked outside right in front of the Mercedes showroom! I felt a lot better...
  8. Beating other trucks from the line

The Ranger is pretty quick but realize folks that most of the time the other vehicle isn't actually racing you.
  9. PSA: Be careful "off-roading" without the skid plate

Absolutely you can, until you run out of land, if you don't get stranded. You can see it on Google maps.
  10. 1980 quality cars?

The first new car I ever purchased was a special order 1980 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Formula. It's still my favorite, if only I still had it.
  11. Fan re-engaging at idle

It takes horsepower to run the fan so a loss of power may be perceptible to some, especially at initial low throttle launch from a stop.
  12. Ooops.

That dent will pop right out. FYI, Ex USAF Thunderbird pilot formerly known as Tbird 5 posted on Instagram she brought home an Area 51 4 door Bronco. She now posts as Mace Curran.
  13. Tail light replacement

Yes, that is the way my replacement came without the BLIS. I did not have a choice.
  14. Ranger door panel reforming

At this point it's probably not worth the effort, I can't even specify a location. I bought a paintless glue type dent repair kit at Amazon, I may experiment with it at some point, but hesitant as I don't want to damage the paint.
  15. 5th Gen Ranger Bed Dents Easily

This is why truck beds are double walled, so inside bed dents don't show on the outside.
  16. Ranger door panel reforming

I got my first substantial dent but was able to affect a 90% self repair. I presume the dent was the result of a parking lot incident. The first picture is of the door panel damage and the second is after removing the inner door panel and affecting some degree of repair. It's not perfect but I'm...
  17. Tail light replacement

Uh it's a stock OEM part replacement from Ford. The original cracked from a minor impact.
  18. Nice Ranger production factory video

Shirts and skins? Might attract a whole new audience lol
  19. Tail light replacement

After months of waiting I finally received a replacement tail light and installed it yesterday. The replacement is as pictured without the BLIS module. Instead you swap the BLIS over from the original. R &R went pretty well open tailgate, remove 2 hex head bolts and remove tail light from 2 pins...
  20. Auto dim headlights

I like the auto on headlight feature. (Primarily started using it to turn on the DRL's) However I have high beams off and if I needed them on I'd do so manually.
