My local grocery was wiped out of toilet paper and paper towels, but also...get this...tampons and maxi pads. May the good Lord help the poor soul who gets quarantined with a PMSing woman.

Quarantine and social distancing are not the same thing. I’m here in CA and people gotta do both depending on their circumstances

Higher population density that is older. Italy has 1/4 the population of the US packed into an area the size of Arizona.
