Was the check for the EXACT amount quoted? And an actual check in hand???Closed the deal with Carvana today and it couldn’t have been easier. Guy came right on time for our appointment. Briefly looked over the truck, checked the VIN and mileage, had me sign 4 documents, and handed me a check. Truck is still in my driveway and he said it would be picked up within 24 hours. The whole process took about 10 minutes.
Yep for the exact amount. The check was already preprinted and he handed it to me with my copy of all the documents. He even made it a point to tell me that once I signed the documents, Carvana owned the truck and I was no longer responsible for the truck if something happened. Was the check for the EXACT amount quoted? Strange they'd hand you a check, then leave the truck in your driveway and not take it then.
Just seems strange they'd buy your truck and leave it there. What if it gets damaged in your driveway in the mean while?Yep for the exact amount. I asked him the same thing and he told me they are responsible for anything that happens once I sign the car over to them. Reading on the Carvana subreddit it isn't uncommon for them to leave the car and have someone else pick it up. Makes sense they'd rather not have to train every truck driver how to complete the purchase, they just have to pick it up. Also considering today is Sunday, I imagine they have fewer drivers working.Just seems strange they'd buy your truck and leave it there. What if it gets damaged in your driveway in the mean while?
I had the exact same experience today. Sold my 2019 Honda Civic Si for $600 more than I bought it for new in 2019. The truck came about an hour or so later to pick it up. They even gave me the lockbox code in case I needed to move it!Closed the deal with Carvana today and it couldn’t have been easier. Guy came right on time for our appointment.
