Ok…appreciate that. My dilemma’ is I’ll be picking up the boat from the seller and currently have nothing…..I was thinking about going out and buying a 3 1/4 and a 4 1/4 hoping one of those would work.
I’m looking to buy a 14ft fishing boat.
I haven’t towed before with my Ranger and need to buy a receiver/ball.
I have no idea what drop I should get…..3 inch, 4 inch????
The truck is an FX4 with just a 2.5 inch front level.
Any information is much appreciated.
Like others have said - there are tons of posts about this........but.......summing it up - Auxito 12k in Low's and Auxito 16k in highs works the best (and I have tried other brands before settling on this setup). The 12k provides a good cutoff and I have yet to be flashed in 3 years.
Oh, and...
I have this kit. When I bought my 19 XLT I had the Dealer add it.
It doesn’t work off the head unit. There is a push button switch that toggles on/off and colors. Mine was installed near the emergency brake handle.
It illuminates the footwells and center cup holders only. It’s not super bright...
Good option for those wanting to avoid LED’s. The 9005 bulb on average is around 1700 lumens….typical H11’s are somewhere near 1250 with the expensive “performance” H11 only an additional 100 or so lumens. An H9 halogen will get you approx 2100 lumens and can be modified for H11 as...
Plus two to Dave’s rec.
I’ve had the RC 2.5 level for 2 years now with no issues/no complaints.
I don’t do a lot of off road but have done some with no issues.
It’s all about what you plan on doing with the truck and your budget. If you off road quite a bit and have the funds you might consider...
Yep. This is certainly an alternative that is easy and low cost. The only drawback is the H9’s don’t last long. I have done this in 2 of my previous vehicles (my Ranger currently has Auxito 12k LED’s) and typically had to change the H9’s about every 6-8 months.
The issue with halogen H11’s is...
Auxito 12k in the low's work fine. Have had them for 2 years now and no issues / no complaints. Just avoid the Auxito 16k as they over drive the reflectors terribly.
I did install the ReadyLift 2 inch (with top and bottom spacers) a bit over 2 years ago when I first got my truck. I only left it on for a couple months as I was not happy that this 2 inch level only gave me no more than 1.5 inches......so I swapped it for a 2.5 inch RC spacer level (I know...
Do a search. Lot’s of information on this topic.
I’ll also suggest the Auxito LED bulbs….just make sure you do not get the 16k bulbs for the low beams. The 16k are too bright and severely overdrive the reflectors resulting in a lot of scatter. I do have the 16k as high beams and happy with them...
I thi
I think with all that said, the take away is that there are ‘many’ mod’s that are done by ‘many’ folks that fall under this category (not just wheel spacers). Every person needs to assess the risk/reward and make they’re own decision. The changes to vehicles from OE are commonplace and do...
Oh no…..another wheel spacer discussion.
Well, there are always those that think they are ‘bad’ and ‘dangerous’. Not going to say that they are totally ‘wrong’ but the instances of wheel spacers causing wheels to come off are very rare and typically due to an incorrect install or really cheap...

Yep…the plan I just bought for $745 is now $780 and it’s interesting that Flood says the new prices are good through Jan 31 2022. Either an error typing the year or there is gonna be another adjustment at the end of this month.
