Just wanted to add to the list that the EGR Valve (LB5Z-9J433-B) completely fixed my problem. I had my truck (2019 Ranger XLT) into the dealership 3 times and they couldn't figure it out. They even installed a new torque converter under warranty. It doesn't help much that no one there took the time to try to understand what my problem was or replicate it.

Ordered the EGR Valve, installed in 15 minutes, and my problems magically disappeared. I highly recommend using small 4.5 inch channel lock pliers to remove the old hoses. Made the job super easy for me.

My problems for the record were: big clunks into gear on cold starts, harsh bucking between 20 and 60mph at low rpms with my foot barely on the gas. Thank you to everyone here for your help!
Hello I’m a new guy. Just bought a 2020 xlt having same issues. Was pointed to this thread and I purchased the erg valve , but I can’t find it for the life of me ! Anyone want to share a video with me and help me out ? Thank you !

Have the EGR set up new in the box, I’m going to sell if anyone wants it.
Price is what I got in it and a few bucks for shipping.

Just changed my DPFE sensor in my 2019 Ranger and bucking seems to be gone. It’s not the most fun thing to change. I ordered spring clip pliers that had an extension cable and they helped get to those pesky clips.

I didnt think that far in advance and cussed a wee bit and used my gerber multi tool.
The worst part for me though wasnt the clips it was getting the hoses off of the tubes

Just to clarify here - the problem part is a DPFE sensor, it is not the EGR valve. The EGR Valve is a separate part. Not being an A$$ just don't want others to be confused and tripped up on part names. The EGR valve is a $110 part, vs the DPFE sensor at $58.00 for complete assy

It’s a simple fix.. EGR sensor. Mine was bucking horribly and the dealer had it twice for over 3 weeks. I then contacted Ford corporate which was a total waste of time. I had finally had enough even though I had purchased a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty. I changed out the sensor myself (it’s a $56 part). Smooth a silk now. The sensors are clearly bad as there was some signs of this problem when the truck was new and it got progressively worse.

Jeez people…. It’s the egr sensor. It’s a $50 part and an hour of under the hood. Mostly cutting the stainless steel clamps. I did mine and truck is running better than new. These sensors are defective
