So I want to purchase 17 in wheels. Truck came with 18 in and I prefer the smaller wheel more tire look. Can someone tell me what the - offset would do for me.

Oops see below for wheel sizes

I cannot help but I like your choice of rim.

From what other members have said, +25mm offset sets the rim out farther another 1" approx.
Seems as though that's the Ranger spec around here.

Has anyone on here got a 3-inch level kit running 285/70/17 no rub action, and no trimming? you think with that setup, and wheel spacers would work? anyone...

Hi y'all. Joined up to learn about tire and wheel combos and this board is amazing. I'm learning a ton. Thank you.

I have an opportunity to buy 285, 75, 17 BFG KO2s for $500 from a friend. I live in the Virgin Islands and tires and shipping is extra expensive.

What is the most affordable way to get those on my truck without rubbing?

Would 3 inch leveling kit with a 1 inch wheel spacer be enough until I can afford new wheels?
I'm thinking of doing something similiar. 3 inch level kit, 1 inch or 1.5 inch spacers, and 285/70/17 (Kenda Klevar R/T E load 10 ply).

did you get any answers, or are you running something similar now?

This info is in this thread. You’ll have to remove crash bars.

255/75 r17 fits stock wheels and suspension with crash bars in place. It’s about .5 inch larger diameter than 265/70 r 17 tires.
I found this interesting calculator that compared stock tires versus 265/70r17 and 255/75r17. it not only gives the size difference, but the speedometer speed changes.

I was not expecting to like these this much - but they really add to the truck.
Ranger Raptor Dyno Gray Wheels M-1007K-RGR1785OR with 265/70r17 KO2. Main reason I am adding to this thread is because I could not find how the wheels would look without any spacers.

I'm looking at a new set of wheels 17x8 with 00mm offset. Will I be okay with stock tires at stock height?

Ok. I’ve tried making sense of this thread but I haven’t had much luck.

what would the largest tires I can put on the Ford 18” black wheels? I want a set of wild peaks or K02s - and I’m not sure I want to get in to leveling it.

I put 265/70/18 on my stock wheels, which is equal to 32.6", with no issues.
I did put in a levelling kit at the same time, so I know I'm not really answering your question.

Edit: I will say that levelling makes the truck look sooooo much better.

Can u post pics? I have the black appearance pkg that came with the 18” wheels and was starting to shop around for the best offroading tires but was uncertain on the size of tires i can fit with just a leveling kit.

Not the black wheels, but I figure the offset must be the same. These are Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's. I have had no rubbing issues whatsoever, but I also don't do a lot of heavy off-roading. I've gone out a couple times where I've definitely needed 4wd and compressed the suspension, but I can't say for sure if I've ever fully compressed the front suspension at full wheel lock. Sorry, wasn't good enough light to get a decent picture showing tires on the truck.
