What about them two alloy looking control bars right near the tires on the inner side of the tires. ?? Does the side wall on your tires rub them ????
It is close but no rub.

Any issues with the

Any issues with the Duratrac tires? Where did you get them if you don't mind my asking? I also want to upgrade but keep the stock 18 inch Lariat wheels. The Duratrac have the tough look I'm looking for.
I went with the 265/70R17 BFG KO.

After looking over this thread any other related ones, I haven't seen anyone comment on running 255/70/18. I'd be running on stock lariat 4x4 rims, and am hoping to avoid any level/lift, and avoid modding crash/intrusion bars. I've found a few comments on 255/75/17 which appears to be same diameter and width according to tire size calculator. But curious if anyone as thoughts on going this route?

Shouldn't have any problems with it. If you put those tires side by side, they'd sit the same. The only difference is the diameter of the hole in the middle - one being 17" and the other 18"

Out of curiosity, sounds like many of you upgrade your tires before its time to do so. What do you guys do with the old tires if there's still plenty of life to them?

My stock dyno tires had no life left in them. They were balled as f. Since I do live on gravel roads

A taller tire would look better no doubt, however maintaining the performance of the motor is more important to me so these are only 31” tall.
I have exactly the same truck :)
Looks great. No rubbing at full lock? Nothing?

My truck has barely 1200 miles on it. I'll go through this coming winter with the stock 18 inch Hankooks, but I am wanting a more aggressive tire as I plan to do some traveling in areas with less than ideal roads, hopefully next spring/summer. Not sure if I'll sell the Hankooks or keep them.

I’m running Nitto Ridge Grapplers 255/80r17 on factory STX rims. Just over 33” tall with zero rub full lock driving forward or backwards.
