Has anyone come across a commercial plug & play pigtail connector to add power to a relay from high beams to aux lighting?
I would prefer not to have to directly splice into the highbeam wire or build my own pigtail if possible.

Thanks

Here is the harness - this will allow you to (T-Off) the headlight assembly connector.
However its prewired for - Parking Tap (off), so you would have to mod it and move the tap in the connector.
I cannot remember if anyone has used this, I just know its available and it brings into question - will the BCM flag the extra draw (even for relay coil power) since we know its very sensitive

But at least this gives you what you are looking for - A clean tap point without touching the OE harness

HeadLight - T-Harness.webp

High Beam = Pin 3
Park Light = Pin 5

So if I am correct - the T-Harness will be set up and wired to tap off of Pin #5 in the harness and this will need moved to Pin #3 or cut and splice the wire into the High Beam all within this harness.

Pinout - showing OE Harness connector and physical headlight housing connector - For Ref.

Thanks for the info. The BCM is the reason I don't want to start playing with factory wiring. I'll let you know how it works. If the BCM screws it up, no harm no foul.

I don't want members to think I'm hijacking this post.
I was thinking of using this to get to using pin 6 for the DRL modes.
Programming the DRL option and testing it. I only wish it was a piggyback without the extra harness.

Is that a standard Deutsch connector or Ford OEM? I might try making my own.

I h ave the one from LightForce. It is pre wired to tap in to the DRLs and the high beams.
Where did you buy it? Lightforce is not shipping directly to US

If Lightforce isn't shipping and dabbing up a custom connector isn't your thing I guess this is the nearest thing.

How it works with the BCM may be the most complicated part.

The one I have is just a pigtail that takes the power running from the DRL or High Beams to trigger something else. No BCM issues at all.
