I didn't get anything in the mail, but I found this on my computer at work.
Ironically my truck is scheduled to be built on my 25th anniversary at Ford
and at the same plant I hired in at. 09/23.

I just got an update from my dealer. Ford seems to be working magic on my truck.

Ordered on: 8/18
In production date: 9/23

That's fast.
I think this is because Bronco's are slow to be produced with the roof problem, some option on the High end ranger needs chips, so to keep the line moving they are producing what orders they have. I expect to see Stock Order XLT rangers hitting the showroom floors soon.

I figured out how to get the order number from the window sticker online, so I can now track the vehicle I'm buying. The dealership ordered the truck I'm waiting for on 2/13/2021. It was built on 9/13/2021 and shipped on 9/17/2021. It's a 13 hour drive from the assembly plant in Michigan, if the truck was transported by truck, to the dealership in SC. But, it goes by train to wherever and then onto a truck. So, it will take 17'ish days. My estimated delivery date is 10/12 - 10/18. I feel like a kid with Christmas approaching. But, Christmas was only a few days away before I figured out how to track it. Now, Christmas is a month away. :crying:

I'd guess it's how the dealer ordered it because lots of folks here ordered several months after his and got theirs much sooner.

It's a 2021 Ranger XLT with sport appearance package and tow package, 301A. The dealer ordered it, I just happen to be buying it when it gets in. I haven't been waiting since February. Only about two weeks so far. When we spoke about it, they said they were expecting it by the end of this month. But, Fords estimated delivery to the dealership says 10/12-10/18. It's all good. Just disappointed that it will probably be that late.

Ok, here is what I ordered... Ranger Lariat 4X4 in Cyber Orange w/ Black Appearance pkg, locking diff, tow pkg.

I waited 4 yrs to order from the first time I saw the "new" Rangers in Mexico back at Christmas 2017. This was a long-planned purchase and not spur of a moment deal. I will drive this truck until the wheels fall off like I do all my vehicles.

I haven't actually been to the dealership as my entire deal was done by phone and email back in Feb and waited until April to place the order so I could get delivery in the last week of July. At lest that was the plan. I "built" the custom order just the way I wanted without any salesperson trying to influence me.

Recently I did speak with the dealership sales manager and GM. Both have told me their info shows the truck is completed and awaiting shipping. They swear the chip shortage isn't applicable to my truck. But with all that, they say they are at the mercy of Ford for the delivery.

Yes, I am mad but not much else I can do.

The GM you're talking is wrong about the chips; Ford Customer Service has twice in the past two weeks confirmed my truck is built except for chips. They also confirmed at this time the chip issue is only impacting Lariats.

Your truck's production date was two days after mine (which is strange because I ordered 5/18) so it's safe to assume that like mine, yours is 99% built but is sitting in Michigan waiting for whatever component it needs chips for. Ford tells me no ETA on when chips will arrive but I did notice Thursday that I finally have an estimated ship date (10/31) on the Ford order tracking site; I've not had an estimated ship date prior to this.

Here's to hoping that we get a pleasant surprise and our trucks show up sooner!

That's why....it's a Dealer order. Customer orders get prioritized over Dealer stock orders.

Just got my Vin assigned yesterday
When and what did you order? I ordered a Tremor Lariat on 8-18. Got my VIN# on 9-9. Nothing more since then, waiting on a build date.
