We got 1/2 and inch of rain today and the wind shifted to the south but its still hazy out. Not sure if its humidity or smoke but we can still smell it. I'd call it 1/3 the smoke we had yesterday and we reside in Houghton.

Wow so green and fresh looking. That's one thing that struck me so much in our recent Canadian / Alaska trip. Everything so wet and green, so much water. However we returned home to find that we have had weeks of unseasonable winter rain here and everything is green and growing. Normally stuff dries up and dies off in winter, as most of our rain comes in late Summer / early Autumn. They were "Flower" class corvetts and thus named after flowers found in the UK. Cheap to build taking around 4-5 months to complete. Used for convoy duty during WW ll. They were actually very slow and lightly armed and sadly considered expendable.
I don't know about you, but my pollen allergies are the death of me!
