38mos/66XXX mi on mine. First shot across the bow, I got the "Remote access features have been turned off..." message on the app the other day after not driving it for four days; a rarity for me. It did start right up and I drove about 50 miles. Hasn't happened again.

Next year will likely be the Year of the Batteries. At my current pace the Ranger will be four years old, the Mariner's battery will be around four, The bike's will be 8y.o.- load tested fine this spring! and my wife's iPad is starting to lose capacity.

Not sure what the average is but still have OEM on my 2019. Drove a total of 8 miles the last two weeks (2, 4 mile trips) and battery is not too bad.

Do you keep your sports car on a trickle charger? I keep my 73 Capri on a trickle charger/battery maintainer all the time and that battery is over 10 years old - still going strong. I don't drive it a ton (500 miles a year or so).
I charge as needed, with a trickle charger. Like yourself I don't drive it much, maybe less than 500 miles a year.

The Merkur Scorpio also has an AGM battery that is about 5 years old. It is driven more regularly. Despite being more than 34 years old it is still a daily driver and has standard tags.

I love your Carpi BTW, and do you love my Scorpio? Cologne V6 is where it is at.

My father worked for Ford and we had an MKI Capri back in 74' or 75'. Metallic brown with the map light on the A-pillar as I recall. Always envious of the MKII John Player Specials.

But in the end the Scorpio got the better 2.9L.

Well I bought my Ranger secondhand in 2019, it was a mid 2015 model and it already had a replacement battery in it, which died 6 months after I purchased it so it obviously wasn't a recent replacement, which gives a life of maybe 2-2.5 years for the original. It's death may have been hastened by sitting on the dealers lot for a few months before I bought it. The replacement battery lasted for 4 years, I only replaced it July last year.

OK, but you are in Australia. They did not start selling 3rd generation Rangers in US until 2019. Did 2015 Australian Rangers have automatic start stop? (ASS)

68k on my 2019, stock battery hasn’t died but with winter coming up I decided to replace it anyway.

Unrelated but Sync has never updated, icon just spins. I thought it might with a new battery but no difference.

I also have the aftermarket plug-in remote start and window lowering fob gizmo. Windows still lower but remote start doesn’t, app won’t start it either.
Suspect a reset is needed, I’ll have to look that up.

That's pretty good life from the stock battery!

Check which version of Sync you're on. If it's lower than version 3.4.23188 it wont update over wifi and you'll have to download it through a usb drive. The previous version was falloff bugs and gets worse over time.

I called the Ford In Vehicle Technology Dept 800-392-3673 and they walked me through the whole process. You can do it without them but I always seem to mess things up and didn't want to have any problems with the download.

Mines 3.3 so I guess I need to call. Think I might reactivate my modem too plus my email on this account has changed and the app is no help on that.

My old battery only gave one warning back in June(?) and I went ahead and purchased another that was on sale figuring it won't be long. Looks like some folks have better luck than others. The truck as a whole has been great, one warranty claim on the heater box. Still has a what I call a stall around 1500-2000 rpm but it's less noticeable with a tune and premium fuel.

Just replaced mine today. 2020 74,811 on the stock battery. At least it is assumed stock as it was a Ford Motor Co battery not Motorcraft and had no date label. Started commonly getting the "Remote features have been disabled", the accessory power kept turning off the instant I would turn the vehicle off, and resting voltage was floating between 12.3 and 12.1.

Went with an Interstate from Costco, as I always do. $180 to not wake up to a dead battery at camp sounds like a great peace of mind.

Just replaced mine with just over 4 years and just under 18K on my 2020 Ranger.

I started getting the dreaded "Remote features disabled to preserve battery" warning and the door handle sensor only worked on drivers door.

Paid $125 at Costco for the H7 battery.

This is what I get for saying I haven't had any issues with it after 4 years
?????

Still running on my original stock AGM battery that came with the new 2019 truck that has 32500 miles on it. I use a battery maintainer every so often when the message comes on the screen "to save battery turn on ignition".
