Awesome job - keep up the reports. Def easier to buy the harness than how I did it. At least I think so - replacing the door harness may be a bitch!
Good luck - I still cant believe Ford cheaps out on something like heated mirrors
Well, got an email that the harnesses are on backorder. So, if they tell me that it'll be weeks or months to get them, I'll just cancel the order and run my own wires, but pin them into the OE plugs (no wiretapping if I can avoid it), they will just be the wrong color wires unless I happen to have some old harness wires in the right color in the old harness box.

UPDATE 11/21 ~20:00 (my time): I called them today to ask about the state of the mirror control unit since I need the power fold button added. Found out one of the harnesses arrived today with that controller. I plan to get at least the controller tomorrow, but I may get the one harness and cancel the other if they can't give me an ETA. I could rip the harness apart and get all the wires and pins I need to do both doors, one door with the right color wires even.

Also, something I don't like about the Ford Electrical diagrams, they don't indicate when a wire should or should not be there. I'm used to my Honda Electrical manuals where they note when a wire is not there for various trim levels or even options. If Ford did the manuals right we would know what was missing and needed in advance so that we would not need to guess or tear it down some just to know what our truck does or does not have in it.

Every penny saved is another penny FORD can use to pay all the executives bonuses
????????
Sadly, that is likely the case.

You may try searching EBay, there are a few salvage yards that pull and sell individual harnesses - if the dealer option falls through. Would be slightly easier as you would have to source the pins anyway ( another wait)

I got a variety pack of pins from Amazon, unless Ford is using something very different from the plugs in other cars I should have enough to make it work. The bigger issue for me right now may be the mirror controls with power fold button. The ClearView mirrors shipped in a folded state, so I need that control to extend them out for use. Lowest priority would be the puddle lights. First is turn signals, second is heated.

And why, Ford why. I had my hopes up on the power mirrors would just working once the mirrors and mirror control switch were replace when I saw the wires on the XLT door harness for the feature. Then I pulled the mirror control from the dash.

Those two cavities on the right, that is where should be Blue and Yellow/Green wires.

But I had the pins for those.

Next, the pins in C210 are smaller and I don't have those. I need the power mirrors working so for now, I may just extract the pins from the door side harness connector and shove the wires into it, as I said, I don't like tapping wires, can never 100% revert the work without replacing the wire or harness once that is done. Until I get pins for the connectors though, the only feature I'm working on getting on there right now is the power fold. I plan to wire in the wires at the mirror and have some lead taped up in the cabin near the connectors so I don't need to go into the doors again though.

Finally got it working, but when I adjust the right mirror when the heat is on, the radio goes to the AM All Polka station at volume 30. ?‍♂

The current wiring plan. Note that the wiring in the LH door is done. I have the wires for the right door, and you'll notice the colors differ from the manual since I'm pulling pre-pinned wires from the Lariat LH door harness I bought to pull from. The wiring on the dash harness may not remain the colors shown, but could, just depends on what I can pull out of my box of wires.

I think I've found some of the needed pins/receptacles for C210/C238, still need to find C237 and C275 pin/receptacles where needed.

I have a 23 Lariat with no heated mirror, anyone know if there's different harness for heated and non heated mirror on lariat?

what I want to know is if I have power on fuse F37 when defrost is on, does it mean I have the harness and just need to change the mirror glass?

TIA

With the 23 - Dropping options off the normal - Lariat Trim Package

The only way to tell, is to get access to the Mirror Connector and see if you have all 12 wires in the connector (Harness Side)

Pin #4 = Heater Power
Pin # 1 = Heater Ground

This will determine what you need to do, to add heated mirrors as far as wiring needed.
You may get lucky, and the wiring is already ran to this connector and then all you need is the mirror harness and a heated glass to run to connector (C516)
and then the same for the Passenger Mirror
or Replace the Mirror Assembly that has the heated mirrors installed.

If you have the wiring in Pins 4 & 1 for Power & Ground on the Harness Side, you will want to check if the Mirror side of the connector is also wired, most likely they are empty cavities, if they are filled then all you need is the Heated Glass - it will come with the wiring to connect to the mirror base (assembly)

Correction - I did a Ebay search and the Heated Glass is just the glass, so it will need the mirror harness or add wiring and a connector's on both ends to connect to the mirror and pin into the C516 connector.

The physical connector on this = Blind Spot (Indicator)
The (2) prongs are for the Mirror Heat, so I assume that this just runs direct to the C516 connector

This is the backside of the Drivers Mirror Glass via EBay

I doubt it, they are only selling it as a replacement glass for a vehicle that already has heated mirrors.

thanks, Ill probably make my own cable if ever I want to go that route, it's not complicated for me to make 2 pins for the harness and 2 connector for the prong on the mirror

Might want to make sure your truck has the wires in the door harness and under the dash. I believe @ControlNode is having to run them to put his Clearview mirrors with all the extra features on.

If the Lariat has the heater pins on the mirror connection and power folding mirrors I would think the circuit for the heated mirrors would be ok too, unless Ford wanted to add more harness SKUs as they sundown the generation. But, super easy to test, pull the speaker, and put a test light between ground and pin 4 of the mirror connector, on the driver's side it should be a gray/red wire while on the passenger side it is gray, and turn on the rear defogger. If it lights up, good to go, if not, need to check the path from the BJB at fuse 37 and then to each connecter on the path to the mirror to find the missing parts. I have an XLT, so the wiring is only up to C237-21 as best I can tell. I still need to get the pins to wire it into the stock connectors to the electrical manual as the correct information for all the trouble shooting steps if they are needed by someone else one day with my truck.
